Introduction Braconinae is a large subfamily of cyclostomes group of parasitic wasps in the family Braconidae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonoidea). They constitute more than 2900 described species that are mostly tropical and subtropical (YU et al. 2012). Members of this subfamily are often black, red, orange and/or white in colours. They are small to medium-sized insects, characterized by their concave labrum, absence of epicnemial carina, absence of occipital carina, females have extended ovipositor (SHARKEY 1993). -

The classification and nomenclature follow the Danish checklist (Karsholt & Stadel Nielsen, 2013). Five species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: 1) Montescardia tessulatellus (Zeller, 1846) (Tineidae): two specimens were found in Bornholm and one specimen were found in southernmost Jutland, all attracted to light; 2) Coleophora filaginella Fuchs, 1881: many specimens were found at the south coast of the island of Lolland, partly by using a bee-smoker and partly attracted to a light-tower; 3) Coleophora dianthi Herrich-Schäffer, 1855: one specimen was found in a light trap in Bornholm; 4) Stenoptilia eborinodactyla Zagulajev, 1986 (=S. gratiolae Gibeaux & Nel, 1990; S. paludicola auct.): one specimen was found in a light trap in Bornholm; 5) Episcythrastis tetricella (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775): two specimens were found in light traps in Bornholm. -
A Revision of the Bracon Fabricius Species in Wesmael’S Collection Deposited in Brussels (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Braconinae)

Monograph A revision of the Bracon Fabricius species in Wesmael’s collection deposited in Brussels (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Braconinae) Jenő PAPP Department of Zoology, Hungarian Natural History Museum, Baross utca 13, H-1088 Budapest, Hungary, and Kézmüves utca 14/A, H-1184 Budapest XVIII, Hungary. Email: [email protected] Abstract. An account of the taxonomic position of the genus Bracon Fabricius, 1804 is presented. In his monograph Wesmael (1838: 7-58) made a survey of 48 nominal species of Bracon occurring in Belgium. Out of the 48 species thirty-seven were described by Wesmael himself as new species, eleven more species had previously been described by Fabricius (three species), Nees (seven species) and Spinola (one species). The Bracon material studied by Wesmael is deposited in the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels. Type (holo-, lecto-, paralectotype) designations are made for Wesmael’s species and neotype designations for Nees sensu Wesmael’s species. Redescriptions, comments on distributions and their taxonomic positions are presented. Palpibracon subgen. nov. is established (type species Bracon delibator Haliday, 1833) for fi ve Bracon species with long maxillary palpi in the Holarctic (four species) and Ethiopian Region (one species). The following fi fteen Bracon species names proved to be junior synonyms (valid names in italics): B. dichromus Wesmael, 1838 = B. carpaticus Niezabitowski, 1910 syn. nov.; B. erraticus Wesmael, 1838 = B. bellicosus Papp, 1971 syn. nov., = B. exarator Marshall, 1885 syn. -

Obtained material was prepared and according modern taxonomic rules and appropriately labeled. Relevant literature and comparison material available in our collection were used for taxonomical examiation of the material collected. The altitudes and coordinates of localities, collection dates were given. In total, 35 species belonging 10 subfamilies were determined. The species Aleiodes (Neorhogas) fortipes (Reinhard, 1863), Macrocentrus nidulator (Nees, 1834), Microchelonus (Microchelonus) eximius (McComb, 1968) and Opius (Ilicopius) solymosae Fischer, 1989 are new to the fauna of Turkey.
