FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE “Tombstone” to Kick Off Annual Flying Dog Film Series

FREDERICK, Md., Tuesday, September 19, 2017 — 1993 film “Tombstone” will kick off the 2017-2018 Flying Dog Film Series as the Weinberg Center for the Arts’ first event of the season. The film will screen on Wednesday, September 27 at 7:30pm, with a pre-show happy hour beginning at 6:30pm.

Tickets for “Tombstone” are $5-$7 with discounts available for students, military, and seniors. Tickets may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the Box Office at 301.600.2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick St.

The cult classic is based on multiple real events that occurred in Tombstone, Arizona in the , including the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral and the Earp Vendetta Ride. It depicts a number of Western outlaws and lawmen, such as , William Brocius, , and . The film stars and , and was directed by George P. Cosmatos. “Tombstone” is rated R for violence and has a runtime of 130 minutes.
