This event is a culmination of the efforts of the GRDC families and the community coming together to support our children’s education. The dedication of our parents, teachers and our many donors to GRDC is clear through ticket sales, services, money donations, sponsorships and countless hours spent pulling this event together. I consider myself lucky to be a part of such an amazing group of parents and educators who consistently put our children’s success and education first. Throughout the evening my hope is that we all keep in mind why we are here and we raise bids and our paddles high so we can continue to invest in our students, teachers and schools. It doesn’t hurt that we have a great time while we are doing it! Throughout the year I invite you to reach out and express new ideas, thoughts or concerns when you have them. The GRDC PTO is here to support all students K-8 and are truly the most successful when we all come together and work as a team. I look forward to a fun and very successful evening. Bid Big and Have Fun! Emily Lewis GRDC PTO President 2015-2016 A MESSAGE FROM THE CRAB FEED AUCTION CHAIRS Are you ready for the year’s largest “fun-raiser”?! We are thrilled to enjoy this SOLD-OUT evening with the families, staff, and friends of Gold River Discovery Center. The 3rd Annual Crab Feed and Auction has something for everyone starting with an amazing dinner and auction, to the crowd-favorite Dessert Dash, cocktails, dancing, and the best group-selfies money can buy! #CrabFeed2016. We invite you to bid big on fantastic silent auction items and vie for fabulous live auction features, adventure packages, and one-of-a-kind art pieces made by our kids and members of the community. In addition to this evening's auction, you also have the opportunity to fund a much-needed stage screen and lighting for the GRDC multipurpose room through the Fund-A-Need campaign. As we enjoy this event together, it is important to remember why we are here…to support the continued growth and success of our incredible school and its dedicated teachers and staff! This event is made possible through the tireless work of so many people. We would not be able to do it without the tremendous support of our families, friends, and the GRDC administration and staff. We are so grateful for the GRDC community, which has helped make tonight a smashing success. Enjoy the evening and bid your hearts out! We look forward to joining you on the dance floor after the auction! Happy bidding, Erica Beam, Sara Langford & Denyse Olson GRDC Crab Feed Co-chairs Thank you to all those who have helped make tonight’s event possible including: Susan Bassett Laura Kronbetter Michelle Ray Giuliane and Tim Belt Dan Langford Alyson Roberts Michele Bessette Emily Lewis Andrea Thomas Kim Borges Jennifer Lowery Justin Tripp Katie and JP Bustamante Jason Olson Jennifer Weber Alanna Cavanagh Elaine Perry Melinda Keller Celeste Prince Please generously tip your GRDC servers. The money they raise tonight supports the Middle School Sports Program. Rules Governing Auction 1. Bid Sheets: All items in the silent auction have bid sheets with them. If you want to bid, do so by writing your name and bid number on the sheet. 2. Each item has a specific bid increase amount. Bids which do not meet the minimum raise will be scratched by the marshal. 3. Use the top-most blank line. Each new bid must be written on the next line available on the bid sheet. Your signatures and/or bid number constitutes a legal contract to purchase the item. 4. Guests may begin bidding immediately upon entering. When a table closes, the last valid bid to be entered will be the winning bid and will be circled by the marshal. 5. In the event of a dispute, an auction official shall act as the final authority and shall determine the winning bid. 6. Unless otherwise specified, all auction items and services must be used with one (1) year of the date of the auction. 7. Items must be removed the evening of the auction (January 23, 2016). 8. For federal income tax purposes, the amount of your contribution that is tax deductible is limited to the excess of the total amount paid for the items over the estimated fair value. 9. NO SUCCESSFUL BIDDER MAY RETURN ITEMS TO THE MERCHANT/DONOR for a refund or exchange of any item. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. 10. ITEMS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE OR TRANSFERABLE, NOR CAN THEY BE EXCHANGED FOR CASH. 11. OUR DONORS graciously donated homes and cabins for your pleasure. Kindly contact the donors soon after the auction to make reservations, so that ample time may be allowed for setting a mutually convenient date. Kindly leave cabins/homes in an orderly condition. 12. Auction packages that are not listed in this printed catalog will still adhere the rules governing auction. Should you have any questions regarding these rules, please contact Sara Langford, Crab Feed Co-Chair and PTO Vice President. His was a distinctly democratic vision of music in which musicians developed their unique styles by selflessly contributing to the whole band’s sound . Few other artists of the last 100 years have been more successful at capturing humanity’s triumphs and tribulations in their work than this composer, bandleader, and pianist. He codified the sound of America in the 20th century.
