A multi-storey car park is next to the venue on Chapel Street. This is open 24 hours. The Flowerpot is famed for its vast choice of real ales and is now recognised as one of the best live music venues in the country. The capacity is 250 if standing and 150 if the show is all seated. If you are travelling a long way, please check that tickets are still available for the show. If you are travelling by bus or train, the main stations are approximately 20 minutes walk from the venue - just head for the Derby Cathedral and the Flowerpot is 100 yards further on up the road. Well it’s another varied and exciting line up with some exciting new bands as well as the return of Pot favourites. On only their 2nd tour of the UK, we welcome the new “super-group” of the blues/soul scene to the Pot - The Royal Southern Brotherhood. Also causing a stir on the blues scene is Jo Harman who plays in Sept as part of her tour to promote her fantastic new album “Dirt On My Tongue”. Kelly Joe Phelps has long been recognised as one of the world’s best slide guitarists. Ducks Deluxe mark 40 years on the road with an anniversary gig in November. Welcome returns from Pat Travers, Bernie Marsden and Hazel O’Connor who is joined by a full band this time around. Following his departure from Whitesnake, he formed a new band which later became Bernie Marsden’s Alaska, which released two rock albums, Heart of the Storm and The Pack. More recently, he has been involved in some unusual projects, notably two engagements at the National Theatre for Nickolas Hytner’s productions of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale and Henry V. In 2012, he performed at the premier of Rock of Ages, starring Tom Cruise and featuring the Whitesnake hit ‘Here I Go again on my Own.’ He has also produced a blues documentary, A Day in the Delta. Bernie Marsden’s new album, ‘Shine’ was released in August 2014, reaching the number 1 spot on the iTunes blues chart.
