Note The Easton McCarney Memorial Lectures is a lecture series of the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, . The Easton-McCarney Memorial Fund was established in 1973 as a living memorial to two student leaders in the Faculty of Social Work – John Easton and Christopher McCarney – who died in a car accident. The goal of the fund is to bring distinguished individuals to Laurier to speak to the University and professional communities. The Easton-McCarney lecturers are chosen by the fund's trustees and program planning committee to reflect social issues of interest to both professional social workers and the community as a whole.

Scope and content

This fonds contains records of the Easton McCarney Memorial Lectures presented by the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University. Includes audio and video recordings, transcripts and promotional material.
