Blackhawks Are Hoping to Bring the Stanley (STAN-Lee) Cup Back to the Windy City This Year Kelly Klupchak Com 161- Section #2 May 4, 2013 (Chosen date to run) Quest to the Stanley Cup The Chicago (SHI-ka-GO) Blackhawks are hoping to bring the Stanley (STAN-lee) Cup back to the Windy City this year. The Hawks face the Minnesota (MINI-so-TA) Wild in round one of the playoffs and currently lead the seven game series two-to-zero. The Hawks won game one in overtime giving them the lead (LEED) in the series. Game two was a different story for the Hawks with three players stepping up giving the Hawks a five-to-two victory. Michael Frolik (FRO-leek), Patrick Sharp and goalie (GOAL-lee) Corey Crawford (CRAW-ford) all played key roles in the victory for the Hawks. Frolik (FRO-leek) and Sharp lead (LED) the offense with two goals each and Crawford (CRAW-ford) dominated the net with 26 saves. The Hawks offense was also a big factor, firing 48 shots on goal. Hawks fans everywhere are having a good feeling about the playoffs. Illinois State University student and big Hawks fan Josh Ladner (LAD-nur) is confident in the Hawks.     Turnbull Hockey Pool for Each year, Turnbull students participate in several fundraising initiatives, which we promote as a way to develop a sense of community, leadership and social responsibility within the students. Last year's grade 7 and 8 students put forth a great deal of effort campaigning friends and family members to join Turnbull's annual NHL hockey pool, raising a total of $1750 for a charity of their choice (the United Way).
