    Turnbull Hockey Pool for Each year, Turnbull students participate in several fundraising initiatives, which we promote as a way to develop a sense of community, leadership and social responsibility within the students. Last year's grade 7 and 8 students put forth a great deal of effort campaigning friends and family members to join Turnbull's annual NHL hockey pool, raising a total of $1750 for a charity of their choice (the United Way). This year's group has decided to run the hockey pool for the benefit of Help Lesotho, an international development organization working in the AIDS-ravaged country of Lesotho in southern Africa.     Kelly Klupchak Com 161- Section #2 May 4, 2013 (Chosen date to run) Quest to the Stanley Cup The Chicago (SHI-ka-GO) Blackhawks are hoping to bring the Stanley (STAN-lee) Cup back to the Windy City this year. The Hawks face the Minnesota (MINI-so-TA) Wild in round one of the playoffs and currently lead the seven game series two-to-zero. The Hawks won game one in overtime giving them the lead (LEED) in the series. Game two was a different story for the Hawks with three players stepping up giving the Hawks a five-to-two victory. Michael Frolik (FRO-leek), Patrick Sharp and goalie (GOAL-lee) Corey Crawford (CRAW-ford) all played key roles in the victory for the Hawks. Frolik (FRO-leek) and Sharp lead (LED) the offense with two goals each and Crawford (CRAW-ford) dominated the net with 26 saves. The Hawks offense was also a big factor, firing 48 shots on goal. Hawks fans everywhere are having a good feeling about the playoffs. Illinois State University student and big Hawks fan Josh Ladner (LAD-nur) is confident in the Hawks.
