AMENDMENTS TO THE RULES OF PROCEDURE AND CONDUCT OF BUSINESS IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, 2007

41. SHAZIA MARRI to seek leave under sub-rule (4) of rule 293 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007 to move the following amendments in the said Rules:-

(a) Amendment of rule 70.- In rule 70, in the proviso, for the words “one day before the

prorogation” the words “day of prorogation” shall be substituted.

(b) Amendment of rule 73.- In rule 73, in the first proviso, for the words “on the day current

session is prorogued”, the words “on the very next day of prorogation of the session” shall be

substituted.

42. SHAZIA MARRI to move under sub-rule (5) of rule 293 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007, that the proposed amendments be taken into consideration.

43. SHAZIA MARRI to move that the proposed amendments in the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007, be adopted.

44. MR. SHAHID AHMED to seek leave under sub-rule (4) of rule 293 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007 to move the following amendments in the said Rules:-

Amendment in rule 201 .- In rule 201, after sub-rule (7), the following new sub-rule (8), shall

be added:-

“ (8) Each Ministry shall submit department-wise monthly performance report of subjects

assigned to it including statement of its accounts in terms of budget allocated in each head, and

expenditure made therefrom not later that 15th day of next month of a preceding month along

with a certificate duly signed by the Secretary of the concerned Ministry that whether or not,

the Chief Finance and Accounts fulfilled his responsibility during the period for

examination of the Committee.”

45. MR. SHAHID AHMED to move under sub-rule (5) of rule 293 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007, that the proposed amendments be taken into consideration.

Omission of rule 234-A.- that in the Rules of Procedures and Conduct of Business in the

National Assembly, 2007, rule “234-A” shall be omitted.
