9th ANNUAL In Concert with Caminar Our annual celebration of the therapeutic power of the arts

October 19, 2019 | SFJAZZ Center

Underwriter Invitation INTRODUCTION

Founded in 1964, Caminar is a leading provider of community behavioral health services in the San Francisco Bay Area. Each year, more than 20,000 youth, adults, and older adults access prevention, treatment, and recovery services that promote behavioral health and well-being.

Caminar is privileged to play an integral role in making our communities places of hope and opportunity for those who face behavioral health challenges. Thanks to the philanthropic support of local businesses, foundations, and families, neighbors faced with crises and complicated chronic illnesses receive the compassionate, evidence-based treatment and recovery services they need to move toward resilience, wellness, and independence.

At the same time, through our prevention and early intervention programs, we are working to intervene in dynamics that lead to behavioral health challenges.

In Concert with Caminar is our annual celebration of the therapeutic power of the arts. The gala features top musical talent at a premier venue, gourmet food, and a vibrant audience.

The audience of 425 guests includes business leaders, philanthropists, health care providers and administrators, elected officials, and other community leaders who share a commitment to behavioral health and a love of music. Guests attend from throughout the Bay Area and live primarily in San Francisco, on the Peninsula (particularly Atherton and Hillsborough), and in northern Santa Clara County (Palo Alto, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills).

Event proceeds strengthen and expand our safety net of mental health, addiction recovery, and housing and other critical supportive services for the most vulnerable people in our communities.
