ROLANDO B. RODRIGUEZ (57) Chairman, President & CEO, Marcus Theatres Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS) $675M, Movie Theatre & Hospitality Company Milwaukee, WI Rolando Rodriguez is an experienced CEO who has a proven track record for revenue and profit growth through innovation and operational excellence. With more than 30 years in the entertainment and retail industries, he is known as a transformational leader who sets a vision and delivers financial results that exceed expectations. In his current role as Executive Vice President of The Marcus Corporation and Chairman, President and CEO of Marcus Theatres Corporation, he is responsible for leading the performance of the $450 million Marcus Theatres division and overseeing the corporate-wide real estate and development strategy. As a member of the senior executive team within Marcus Corporation, Rolando has been instrumental in transforming the theatre business model and has year-over-year achieved record levels of financial performance. This has been accomplished by fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion while leading with integrity, honesty, and the highest level of ethics in his business relationships. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of Rave Cinemas, a privately-held $500 million company based in Dallas, Texas. As a board director and executive leader, he achieved annual sales growth of 10% and EBITDA growth of 45% during his leadership tenure. The company was successfully sold to Cinemark, generating a 45% internal rate of return for TowerBrook Capital Partners over a three-year period. As Vice President and Regional General Manager at Walmart, Rolando delivered double digit revenue and profit growth annually through a focus on identifying strategic opportunities, driving top line growth, connecting relevant product lines and price points to consumers, partnering with vendors and merchants, optimizing technology, and streamlining operations. Before Walmart, Rolando progressed through roles of increasing responsibility at AMC Theatres from 1975 to 2005. In his final position as Executive Vice President, North America Operations Service, he managed the operation that delivered 85% of the operating income for the $1.8 billion company and served as a member of the CEO’s Executive Council. Rolando is a member of Rave Holdings Board of Directors, the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) Executive Board of Directors, as well as several regional and national non- profit organizations. In recent years, the Motion Picture Club has recognized his exceptional leadership where he was honored as Man of the Year (2015) and the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, Executive of the Year (2014). Rolando was recently appointed to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Board of Directors. Rolando received a BA in Business Management from Eckerd College and an MBA in the Executive Fellows Program at Rockhurst University. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and recently completed the Directors Consortium at Chicago Booth. .
