Ayam Bakar Taliwang Khas Lombok Ayam Bakar Taliwang Khas Lombok ~ Mrs.Tans ~ Ayam taliwang merupakan kuliner khas kebanggaan dari daerah Lombok, yg terkenal dg Pulau Seribu Masjid. Kuliner ini erat kaitannya dengan keberadaan masyarakat Karang Taliwang di Kecamatan Cakranegara Kota Mataram NTB. Masyarakat Karang Taliwang ini yg pertama kali memperkenalkan ayam taliwang. Ayam ini disebut jg sbg ayam perdamaian Kemunculan ayam ini pd saat perang antara kerajaan Selakarang vs kerajaan Karangasem Bali. Masyarakat Taliwanglah yg bertugas menjadi pendamai kedua kerajaan tsb. Salah 1 tugas dr masy taliwang jg menyediakan logistik, memasak salah satunya. Menu yg dihidangkan salah 1 nya adalah ayam bakar berbumbu. Dari sinilah cikal bakal ayam taliwang dimulai (sumber : kebudayaan.kemendikbud.go.id). Ayam yg dipakai adalah ayam kampung yg masih muda, dg ditambah bumbu2 khas. Kuliner ini mempunyai cita rasa pedas, sesuai dg selera masyarakat NTB. Sensasi manis dan gurih yg meresap ke daging ayam semakin menambah citarasa ayam bakar taliwang ini. Ayam bakar taliwang biasa disajikan dengan plecing kangkung, kacang tanah goreng dan beberok terong. Untuk pendamping ayam kali ini, plecing sy modifikasi dg plecing buncis. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat dijelaskan bahwa KEK Mandalika didukung oleh beragam potensi kuliner lokal yang memiliki peluang untuk dikembangkan sebagai penunjang kegiatan wisata kuliner. Beberapa jenis kuliner lokal juga sudah sangat populer dalam pariwisata diantaranya ayam taliwang, bebalung, urap-urap, plecing kangkung dan beberuk. Tetapi, jika dibandingkan dengan pesona dari potensi alam, kuliner belum menjadi sebuah ikon yang menjadi daya tarik wisatawan untuk datang. Pada saat ini upaya strategis perlu ditingkatkan agar kuliner mampu mewakili keragaman budaya yang menjadi representasi KEK Mandalika sebagai sebuah destinasi.
