AUSTRIA 2007 AUSTRIA terry theise estate selections “First of all, everything is unified, everything is linked together, everything is explained by something else and in turn explains another thing. There is nothing separate, that is, nothing that can be named or described separately. In order to describe the first impressions, the first sensations, it is necessary to describe all at once. The new world with which one comes into contact has no sides, so that it is impossible to describe first one side and then the other. All of it is visible at every point . .” - P.D. Ouspensky “Either Nature has a kind of consciousness, and therefore a purpose, or it does not. In our present state of development, there’s no way to know. It’s my experience that Nature — whether metallic (like my car) or organic (like a plant) or neither (like the wind) — behaves differently if one relates to it as though it is conscious; many have experienced consciousness in rocks, flora, fauna, and objects, but our subjective experi- ences are difficult to demonstrate and impossible to prove. If Nature has no conscious- ness or purpose, I don’t see how humanity can, so I choose to believe we all do. That’s my sense of things. Again, impossible to prove, especially when the evidence appears to point the other way.” - Michael Ventura i Front Cover Photo: A field of rapeseed in full May bloom. ii table of contents Introduction . .1 The 2006 Vintage . .4 Grape Varieties . .7 Austrian Wine Laws . .10 Austrian Wine Culture . .12 Map of Austria .

Please bring this copy. Ce document ne sera plus distribué en réunion. Prière de vous munir de cet exemplaire. T-PVS/DE (2019) 8 - 2 - 1. INTRODUCTION The European Diploma for Protected Areas was awarded to the Wachau Protected Landscape in 1994 and renewed in 2009 along with the initial condition and 8 recommendations. For the next renewal an on-the-spot appraisal was undertaken in 2018. I visited the area from 9th to 11th September 2018. The visit was extremely well organised by the World Heritage Municipalities Wachau Association (Verein Welterbegemeiden Wachau) which is responsible for site management, in particular by the manager Dipl.-Ing. Michael Schimek. That was very important as the time for the visit was limited, unexpectedly the vintage started earlier, so it was really a success to assure presence of all key representatives at the site (Annex 1 - programme of visit). Representatives were all very competent and keen to help me to understand issues about the protected area. I would like to thank all organisers of the visit for the helpful, enthusiastic and very open assistance during the on-the-spot-appraisal mission, and all experts and representatives I met during these 3 days: Bgm.

  • Our Portfolio
2020 About Us Circo Vino (pronounced Chir-co Vee-no) is loosely translated as “Wine Circus” in Italian. Circo Vino serves as a national importer for the United States and is licensed to sell to wholesalers nationwide. Circo Vino acts as the main sales, marketing, and public relations entity for its winery partners. Circo Vino does not have a centralized office or warehouse, preferring to utilize a virtual office and current technology to centralize company communication. Circo Vino has significant relationships with shipping agencies and warehouses nationally and internationally that assist us in our flexible and fresh shipping design. Circo Vino began in 2009 with a dedication to find flexible avenues to encourage direct imports of artisanal wines from unique terroirs to the USA marketplace. We believe that sublime wine is a result of the collaborative relationship between mother nature, the grower and the consumer. The ultimate connection we seek to create is between the grower and those who appreciate his or her wines. With this in mind, we specialize in Direct Import Facilitation, focusing on emerging state markets that need assistance in directly importing wine as well as helping established markets simplify their Direct Import structure. We seek wines that demonstrate a sense of place and a singularity of style - wines that make us say “Yes! This is it!” We gravitate toward wines that are farmed in low-impact ways and handled gently, and we prefer to work with winery partners who grow wines with both a respect for tradition and a sustainable vision for the future. We love working with partners that infuse humor and creativity into their work and are interested in reaching the dinner tables of American wine drinkers as well as retail shelves and restaurant wine lists.
