Meet Mrs. Durr

The Basics!

Hi! My Name is Mrs. Shuanetta Durr! I am the 6th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) teacher. This year I was asked to teach another subject, so I am also the 6th grade Social Studies teacher at Hudson K-8 School. I started with Hudson in 2015. This will be my 3rd year with Hudson K-8 and I am proud to be a part of the EAGLE NATION!

My Childhood!

I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where I attended Foster Elementary school from Kindergarten through 4th grade. I later attended A.G. Gaston K-8 school from the 5th thru 8th grades. I also attended Wenonah High School and am a proud product of the Birmingham City School System. I am the 1st child of 4 children. I My Favorites! have been married to Darius Durr Sr. for 23 years! I have two children, Brittany Shatoria and Darius Food: Chicken/Chinese Jr. Movie: Love and Basketball/ My Education! Lifetime Movies Book:(Too many to just list one) In June of 1995 I receive my Associates Degree in Color: Red or BLack Business Administration with a minor in Management Drink: Strawberry Lemonade from Lawson State Community College. In December Season: Fall of 2013, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports: (Not really into sports) Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the Fast Food: Zaxby’s University of Alabama at Birmingham. In April of 2018, I will earned my Master Degree in Curriculum Singer: Tamela Mann/Anita and Instruction, and a minor in Educational Wilson Technology Leadership.
