“Social responsibility from a gender perspective” AGENDA Bologna Friday 26th March 2021 9:30-13:30 Palazzo Malvezzi De Medici Sala del Consiglio Online local event with the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) The Metropolitan City of Bologna promotes institutional innovation processes. Cooperation between the various government levels is the key to addressing global challenges with sustainability and innovation. The Metropolitan City is a key player for the promotion of a strategic action that involves, in a virtuous circuit, the local authorities and local businesses. The most important companies in the metropolitan area (Marconi Airport of Bologna, Automobili Lamborghini, Bonfiglioli, Caab, Crif, Emil Banca, Ima, Philip Morris Bologna and Tper), are working together to develop good practices for the protection of the fundamental rights of workers, including equal opportunities and corporate welfare. The meeting aims to discuss, at national and european level, good practices for equal opportunities in the working environment, based on the application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights for citizens of EU countries Territorial governance strategies will be defined to support a process based on local authorities actions. European regions and cities have a strategic role to contribute to the european strategy through their EU and international relations, policies, programmes and concrete projects. This conference brings together representatives from the European Institutions, stakeholders and policy makers to discuss how to successfully contribute to the european strategy on social responsibility from a gender perspective.
