ORANGE CITY CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCHES COMMUNITY BULLETIN January 24, 2021 Denominational, Classis or Community Prayer Requests: On this Sanctity of Life Sunday, pray that all of life will be valued, from the unborn to the aged. Pray also for those couples who desire to have a child, but have not been able to. Pray that God will give them peace and strength each day. Pray for the ministries of The Guiding Star and Bethany Christian Services in Orange City as they seek to promote life. Pray also that as these agencies meet with moms and dads who are looking for pregnancy counseling, adoption desires, or parenting guidance, that God will give them the wisdom they need so they can give these parents the information and help that they need. Unity Christian High School is seeking to hire a full time Systems Administrator for the 21-22 school year. This individual will play a key role in managing and growing a computer network for 350+ staff and students. From Orange City Christian School: OCCS is looking for an assistant to help in the kitchen a couple days a week. Study Matthew Psalm 32, 1 John 1:5-2:2, and Psalm 51 with Groundwork to better understand the spiritual discipline of confession, discover why it keeps us spiritually healthy, and why it’s beneficial to our relationship with God. Friday, January 29 3:45 p.m. Homecoming 2021 will be held at Unity Christian High School. The Homecoming Court will be presented after chapel followed by a student talent show. Evening activities, beginning at 3:45 p.m., will include four basketball games, presentation of the Homecoming Royalty, and Dance Team performances. Alumni and friends of UCHS are invited to the evening activities. Masks are required at all events. Come drive through Westview Business Park in Rock Valley, Monday, January 25th through Saturday, January 30th (open 5:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. each night.) This even is a safe, socially distanced family outing – don’t miss your chance to experience the digital zoo exhibits from the comfort of your car. All of the “exhibits” will feature a fun, digital experience on a DKOI sign – no live animals will be present. Signs will offer instructions and help guide the flow of traffic. Presented by DKOI Signs, this event is a fundraiser for Hope Haven. Please consider a freewill donation to Hope Haven.
