I helped to start the Economic and Community Development Corporation (CDEC) of Anjou and then became the DG of the CDEC and Local Development Centre (CLD) of Anjou. 4. I was a Board Member of Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (the largest university hospital in eastern Montreal). 5. I was a board member at the Raymond Dewar Institute (for the deaf and hearing- impaired) in Montreal and the Nazareth and Louis-Braille Institute (for the blind and sight-impaired) in Longueuil. E. Involved in the sports tournaments of my two sons – Attended their water polo matches all over Canada and the province of Quebec (including Montreal, Hamilton, Vancouver), their club at the time included Dominique Perreault and Kristina Alogbo, member and captain respectively of the Canadian national women’s water team; baseball in Quebec (including Montreal and Quebec City), and soccer at Jean-Eudes Secondary School (in Montreal, Quebec City, and regionally) and at Trinity College School of Port Hope, Ontario (all over Ontario, including Toronto, Oshawa, Hamilton, etc.). 2. I also supported André Viger, the wheelchair legend, as his attorney for several years. 3. As an attorney, I participated in some Montreal sports associations (Jeunes Sportifs Hochelaga, Association Communautaire et Sportive Centre-Sud). 4. I supported the career of my son Philippe, who worked for Kéroul, an organization dedicated to handicapped mobility, the offices of which are located at the Olympic Stadium of Montreal and I helped my associated Charles Gauthier to become a member of their board. OTHER (e.g., achievements/awards/previous involvement with the CPC or para sport community) My interest for Paralympics began when my interest was piqued a few years ago by the world championships of paracycling in Baie-Comeau, which were a great success, causing me to believe that more Paralympic championships could be organized in Canada. I even spent two days in Greenville, South Carolina at the paracycling championships in 2014 to better understand the scope of such an organization. G. LEADERSHIP a. What leadership skills can you demonstrate? Please provide examples for every skill you identify. • Focusing on results, I act more as a coach than a boss (according to Pierre Tadros, one of my former employees). • I have managed organizations and small law firms throughout most of my life. • In the city of Montreal and regionally; for example, I was the General Manager of the Regional County Municipality (CMR) of Pontiac and the Local Development Centre (LDC) of Pontiac with 30 employees under my direct supervision. • One of my strengths is being able to contact people and create networks. In social interactions, I have always endeavoured to put my clients from complementary sectors into contact with one another so they can do business together, if possible. b. What personal or professional experience do you have, if any, with people living with a disability? • My experience is mainly the result of my time spent as a board member of the Raymond Dewar Institute and the Nazareth and Louis-Braille Institute since my nephew, who was born prematurely, suffers from severe deafness. CQV trouvait inacceptable qu'aucune véritable étude d'impacts sur la vie des citoyens riverains n'ait été entreprise, et sans aucune consultation publique. Après 12 ans de vaines tentatives d'obtenir justice par le biais du système de justice canadien, nous avons décidé, le 24 avril 2008, d'abandonner cette voie pour nous orienter vers l'approche politique. Entendons nous bien: nous déclarons solennellement n'être nullement un organisme partisan, parce qu'on retrouve parmi nos membres des citoyens de toutes les tendances politiques.
