First signed for Dynamo Kyiv before playing periods with four other sides, ending his career at Zorya. Earned four international caps. • Began his coaching life with Inkaras, before returning to former teams Atlantas, Kaunas, Žalgiris and Sūduva. Won the Lithuanian Cup with Atlantas and Kaunas, and was named club coach of the year in 2010 during his second Žalgiris tenure. • Took over the Lithuania U21s in 2007 and five years later was appointed assistant to senior coach Csaba László. Named caretaker boss in September 2013 and received a permanent deal three months later.
