YOUTH EMPLOYMENT EVENT - One Year After – BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE Rome, 12-14 November 2014 Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers DRAFT AGENDA 1. BACKGROUND The European Youth Forum (YFJ) and the National Youth Council of Italy (FNG) will organise an event on youth employment as a follow-up to the one held in Paris in November 2013. The Youth Event will be part of the institutional programme of the Italian Presidency. It will take place between the European Council meetings of 23 October and 18 December and the EPSCO meetings of 16 October and 1 December 2014. 2. EXPECTED OUTCOME The event will be an opportunity to come up with a series of recommendations for the new European Commission, the new European Parliament and EU Member States in the field of employment. The recommendations will aim to impact the agenda of the new European Commission, so that it is focused on ensuring that Europe invests in creating employment opportunities for youth.
