LLLambdaLambda Omicron Chi Christian Sorority, Inc. is a SororitySorority that focuses on building holistic and balanced women of God spiritually, financially, mentally, physically, and socially.
Our womanhood is based on Proverbs 331:101:101:10----3131 which exemplifies our stature as a woman of God. This organization is about becoming the Queen that God has ordained for His daughters. Therefore, as we advanceadvance the vision that God has given to our Founders and spread the Word of God to women worldwide,worl dwide, we are seeking for quality women who are ready to go to the next level in their life and who are ready to expand this vision through expertise, wisdom, resources, time, and finances.
Our endeavor is to advance the purposes of the Kingdom of God throught hrough this vehicle spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and influenciinfluencingng women to possess their Queenship in Jesus name at every campuscampus and community that the Lord leads us to.
God has placed a global mandate on this Sorority. We currently havehave interestinterest in the British Virgin Islands, Guam, China, and abroad. It is pertinent that we matriculate members who fully understand our core: Sisterhood, Discipleship, Leadership, and Fellowship and is ready to help makemake this vision possiblepossible..
Please understand that joining this Sorority is a covenantcovenant relationship. The Bible speaks much about making a covenant. Covenant requires you to submit to the rules of engagement and to govern yourself accordingly putting your hands to the plow in order to be a blessing and to be blessed. We believe Jehovah (the self existent ONE) is LordLord and that thethethe Trinity is made of God the Father, God the Son, and God thethe Holy Spirit who is ONE GOD who manifested Himself in three ways. We believe that man is born into sin and is savedsaved through salvation by confessing with hishishis mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in hishishis heart that God raised Him from the dead. We also believe that in order to be an effective follower or disciple of Jesus Christ, we must follow and adjust our life according to the inerrant Word of the Living God as instructed in the Holy Bible. WHAT IS LAMBDA OMICRON CHI CHRISCHRISTIANTIAN SORORITY? Lambda Omicron Chi is a sisterhood organization that solely stands on the Word of God.
WHO FOUNDED LAMBDA OMICRON CHI CHRISTIAN SORORITY? Four virtuous women were appointed by God to birth the vision of this Sorority. They are the Founding Chapter known as The Appointed Alpha Chapter of FallFall 2002 and consists of the following recipients:

WHERE DID LAMBDA OMICRON CHI CHRISTIAN SORORITY BEGIN? Lambda Omicron Chi began in Powhatan Village Apartment E4 on Old Dominion University's campus in Norfolk, Virginia on May 1, 2002 at 7:00pm.
WHY DID LAMBDA OMICRON CHI CHRISTIAN SORORITY BEGIN? There are three reasons why this organization began. Firstly, God spoke this ministry into existence and placed it in the hearts of the Founders. Secondly, there was a demand for true sisterhood and there was a misrepresentation of being a virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31:10-31. Thirdly, campuses and communities around the world needed to be witnessed to about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
HOW DID LAMBDA OMICRON CHI CHRISTIAN SORORITY BEGIN? Lambda Omicron Chi began through prayer and fasting and with the leading of the Holy Spirit ministering to the hearts of the Founders. It began by preparing the foundations of the organization, including the three fold process for membership, the funding to carry out its duties, and the planning for future events.

Is to glorify God and engender a sense of sisterhood by teaching women the principles of the Word of God, by displaying a pure Christian lifestyle without compromise to women worldwide, by preparing them for rescuing the lost and brokenhearted, and by engaging in fellowship with other brothers and sisters.

NNNO!NO! We didn’t select them because they were teal! ☺☺☺ Lambda Omicron Chi Christian Sorority, Inc. National Philanthropy is to support Ovarian Cancer research through awareness, prayer, and financial support. We chose this philanthropic effort because it represents our femininity and we believe it’s a demonic attack against the most sacred part of producing life which is a God-given gift to all women.
“The American Cancer Society estimates for ovarian cancer in the United States for 2013 are:
About 22,240 women will receive a new diagnosis of ovarian cancer. About 14,230 women will die from ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cancer is the ninth most common cancer among women , excluding non-melanoma skin cancers. It ranks fifth in cancer deaths among women, accounting for more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system. Ovarian cancer accounts for about 3% of all cancers in women. A woman's risk of getting ovarian cancer during her lifetime is about 1 in 72. Her lifetime chance of dying from ovarian cancer is about 1 in 100. (These statistics don’t count low malignant potential ovarian tumors.) This cancer mainly develops in older women. About half of the women who are diagnosed with ovarian cancer are 63 years or older. It is more common in white women than African-American women. The rate at which women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer has been slowly falling over the past 20 years” (cancer.org)
Praise Jesus! However, women around the world are being diagnosed with this cancer and a large percentage of women are not cognizant of the symptoms which means awareness and prevention of this cancer is at a low rate. Let’s save them. Let’s join forces and pray, support, and raise awareness! Symptoms, healing scriptures, and a listing of cancer organizations are listed on our national website.
If you know someone who has this form of cancer or has overcome this cancer or has experience a loved one dying due to this form of cancer, please invite them to tell their story! Their story can remain confidential or they can be featured in the IRIS Publication and on our National Website.
The Master Plan ––– Chapter Sponsored Community Service The Master Plan is a chapter specific philanthropic effort. It is developed at the entry of the first chapter sponsored Membership Intake Process. These Pledges are required to develop this Master Plan during the intake process and officially present to the Chapter. The Pledges are also required to complete 16 community service hours geared towards the developing Master Plan. This concept will aide them in developing relationships with potential agencies for future endeavors. If you are pledging a chapter that already has an existing Master Plan, you will complete objectives that can supplement that plan to present to the chapter .

1.1.1. Get Informed Once you locate a local chapter near you, attend any and all events scheduled. Look out specifically for that chapter's interest meetings or informationals. Begin developing relationships with some of the members and ensure you obtain information about the application deadline and where to send your application. Please note that it is not necessarily a requirement to attend the interest meetings.
2.2.2. Get Interviewed After you submit your application, you will be contacted to schedule a 30 minute interview. Your attendance to your scheduled interview is required in order to progress into our membership advancement intake program. The attire for your interview is business professionalprofessional.professional You should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
At your interview, we will ask you a series of questions and/or scenarios. You may also freely ask any questions that you may have. You will hear from someone within 7 business days if you have been selected to participate in our Membership Advancement Intake Program.
3.3.3. Get Matriculated The Membership Advancement Intake Process is a program that caters to the physical, mental, social, financial, and spiritual capacities of your life. This process entails a series of bible teachings, mentorship, discipleship workshops, sisterhood projects, prayer sessions, consecration periods, and various fellowship activities. This program has effectively been proven to add to your relationship with God and to develop godly characteristics according to the Word of God.

General Requirements Must have professed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9). Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be faithfully attending a church or campus ministry that professes the Good News of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:25 & Jeremiah 3:15). Must be highly interested in discipling others according to our motto "Reconciling Queens back into the Kingdom of God!” Must be ready to dedicate your life to the purposes of this Sisterhood.

The Membership Intake Seed is an investment assessment required by each pledge that participates in our Membership Advancement Intake Program.
This investment seed helps you obtain the best Sorority experience possible through training that will be an investment into your life as well as continue the efforts and administration of the chapter and the organization as a whole to be an investment to the lives of people.
Failure to make payment results in immediate dismissal from the intake program.
Payments cannot be accepted until you have been selected to particip ate in our intake program.
10% of the Intake Seed or $70.00 is due at Pledge Orientation, the first class before the intake process commences.
The remainder of the Intake Seed or $630.00 is due at the end of the 3 rd Week of the intake program.

QQQ... What makes LOXLOX,, Inc. different from other Christian sororities?sororities? AAA. All organizations are unique in purpose. Although our complete purpose is to glorify God first in all we do, we accept women from all nationalities, backgrounds, and statuses who desire to have a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We are a ministry for women catering to women teaching about our royal status as a Queen. This is why we are different.
QQQ. What are the benefits of being in a CChristianhristian sorority?sorority? AAA... The benefits of joining this sorority include Christian networking, Christian relationships, and a Christian atmosphere that gives you the freedom to grow in God.
QQQ. Do I have to be a specific denomination to be a part of the sororitsorority?y?y?y? AAA... Not at all. LOX is not affiliated with a denomination. All we ask is that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
QQQ... What types of activities do LOX participate in? AAA. As a unit, we participate in many activities including but not limited to bible studies, church events, community service projects, philanthropic activities, fundraisers, sleepovers, retreats, social gatherings, and more. The more we grow, the more you will see individual chapters participating and hosting many events in their area.
QQQ. Is there a Brotherhood? AAA. Yes. We officially declare Mu Omicron Gamma Christian Fraternity, Inc. as our brothers. Together, we are known as the Omicron Family.
QQQ. Why should I consider a Christian Sorority? AAA. If you are a Christian looking for an extended purpose outside of what God has called you to do, you should consider being in covenant with anything that is centered on the God you serve.
QQQ. Can you join LOX if you are a part of another sorority? AAA. No! We believe that your heart would be divided, covenant would be broken, and it would be a conflict of interest. Honorary, military, and academic societies/fraternities are permissible because they are seen as accomplishments based on works either in service or academics. Your covenant to LOX becomes a lifestyle based on the totality of the Word of God and within that lifestyle you also agree that you will not make covenant with any other social sorority/fraternity or sisterhood/brotherhood that is constitutionally bound by law.
QQQ... Do I have to be a member of a church in order to join?join? AAA. YES. It is imperative that each member attends a local church that is accountable for you, to help you spiritually grow, and to provide a place where you can serve and help the Kingdom of God. This environment is necessary for a believer. This gathering helps you understand the concepts of faithfulness which is the foundation of being a successful member of Lambda Omicron Chi.
QQQ. Does this organization haze? AAA. Absolutely NOT! Hazing is to have various r ituals and activities involving harassment, abuse, or humiliation as a way of initiation. The activities usually involve degradation, violent physical activity, and other abuses sexually, physically, emotionally, psychologically, and the like. As Christians, we own no woman but to love her and are commanded to utilize 2 Timothy 3:16 which states that we should use the Word of God to reproof, rebuke, correct, and to instruct in righteousness and to love one another as we love our self. Therefore, hazing will NEVER be on our agenda!

We are sure that you have just received a plethplethoraora of information and may feel overwhelmed; therefore, we have created this list for you.
Obtain clearance from the Holy Spirit. Go home and pray about it. All things will work together for your good if you are called according to His purpose. Lambda Omicron Chi has to be God’s purpose for your life.
Obtain the Official Application for Membership either from the chapter or via the National Website under the Membership tab. Ensure you are aware of the application deadline requirement and the details on how to submit it whether via pickup or mail.
Begin obtaining information from third parties such as your recommendation letters and your transcript (if applicable). If you have issues obtaining the recommendation letter and/or transcript before the application deadline, call or email the chapter or national to see what accommodations can be made. Please note that each chapter has their own stipulations about their application deadlines.
Look out for any open events sponsored by the Sorority (specifically the chapter if you are not chartering) and attend as many as possible to get a feel of the Sorority environment and to meet additional members.
Prepare the remaining correspondence and assessments for your application submission such as your reference list, resume, essay, and picture. Review the checklist outlined in the application. Any missing documents can delay and/or cause your application to be rejected.
Submit your application and wait for an email or a phone call about scheduling your interview session.
Attend your interview wearing business professional attire. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your time slot and bring any questions you may have.
Look out for an acceptance or denial letter via email or mail.
