    Miguel Ramos na Ferrari em 2011. Miguel Ramos pilotará um Ferrari 458 no International GT Open e no Campeonato de España GT em 2011. A escolha por uma das mais emblemáticas marcas de automóveis, de renome mundial e que preenche o imaginário de todos os amantes do desporto automóvel não foi difícil. Ramos troca o Mundial FIA GT1 pelo International GT Open e a “sua” Vitaphone Racing pela Edil Cris, uma das equipas de ponta do construtor italiano. Depois de tantos anos na Vitaphone com os Maserati MC12 a mudança acontece naturalmente “todos sabíamos da limitação temporal que os carros que passaram do anterior FIA GT para o novo GT1 e a isso não é indiferente o abandono de todos os Corvette do GT1, a passagem duma das equipas da Maserati para outro Campeonato e mesmo o facto da Vitaphone ter outras ideias. Durante este defeso tive felizmente várias alternativas por onde escolher, sendo que a minha preferência recaiu sobre o International GT Open e pelo Campeonato de España GT” . Para além dos GT’s, Ramos teve também convites de equipas dos Sport Protótipos, “com efeito tive em estudo a possibilidade de fazer novamente o LMS, ao qual se juntava a participação em Le Mans, mas no global o programa não era tão interessante como o que antevejo poder ser uma temporada fantástica com um carro estupendo que será o Ferrari 458 nos GT’s em 2011 ”. Para Ramos o Mundial de GT1 tem actualmente um figurino pouco consistente com a génese dos GT’s e que talvez isso mesmo, provoque a evidente erosão na lista de inscritos e consequentes dificuldades, “com os carros mais antigos a perderem a possibilidade de correr em 2012, este ano de transição vai ser difícil, pois não se vêm marcas novas a aderir e as que estão à condição por mais um ano, também não devem fazer grandes investimentos.

Bucharest city centre was transformed into a race circuit over the weekend of May 17th - 20th, with a 3.111 km circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke, circumnavigating the gigantic Romanian parliamentary buildings. Despite rain, 69,000 spectators turned up over the weekend to watch the FIA GT Championship, the FIA GT3 European Cham- pionship, the Lloyds TSB Insurance British Formula Three International Series and the Logan Dacia Cup. They were treated to a spectacular FIA GT race, which only saw one safety car period despite heavy rain, resulting in a fine win for Scuderia Playteam Sarafree’s Maserati MC 12 of Bertolini and Piccini in GT1. The Italian duo finished nearly 40 seconds ahead of the All-Inkl.com Lamborghini Murciélago of Christophe Bouchut and Stefan Mücke. Having already won in Zhuhai, Bouchut and Mücke thus reclaimed the lead of the GT1 Drivers Championship. Third went to Vitaphone Racing team, with the nr 2 Maserati MC 12 of Christian Montanari and Miguel Ramos, both of whom claimed their first-ever FIA GT podium finishes.
