Tampere In June, Tampere public transport still operates the old lines, line numbers and routes. The new system will be introduced on Monday 30 June. The lines 2, 5, 12, 13, 20, 21, 24, 25, 31, 38, 90, 91 and 92 will maintain their current routes and schedules. Line 1 is a new trunk route Lentola / Leinola – Koskipuisto – Pirkkala, combining services of the current lines 1, 16, 61 and 62. This new route creates a non-transfer connection from Pirkkala and Härmälä towards the railway station and TAYS Central Hospital, as well as from Leinola and Linnainmaa to Hatanpää. The eastbound line extends from Leinola in Tampere to Lentola in Kangasala. Line 1 was put out to tender and it will be operated by Väinö Paunu Oy starting on 30 June 2014. Line 3 is a new trunk route connecting the most frequent line in Tampere, line 30, and the Keskustori – Lentävänniemi part of line 16. In addition to the previous connection to the city centre, this line provides a new non-transfer connection from southern Hervanta, Hervantakeskus and some parts of northern Hervanta to Kaleva, Tammela, the railway station and western city centre. Between Hämeenkatu and Paasikiventie the route runs in Hämeenpuisto, covering some of the stops on the current route 16 in Amuri as well as Onkiniemi and Särkänniemi. Between Lielahti and Lentävänniemi the new line offers a more frequent schedule especially in the evenings and on weekends. Trunk route 23 is transformed into line 4. The new route runs in Iidesranta instead of Kalevantie. In Hervanta the route is extended from its current termination to Hervantakeskus along Lindforsinkatu. The current schedule remains valid. Trunk route 18 is transformed into line 8. The current route and schedule remain valid. In Atala, some busses terminate in Risso. Trunk route 22 is transformed into line 9. The current route and schedule remain valid. Some busses terminate on Juvankatu in Kaipanen. Trunk route 15 is transformed into line 10. The current route and schedule remain valid. The current line number 10 Järvensivu – Pispalanharju will be changed into number 15. Line 11 operates a new route Sarankulma – Toivio – Härmälä – Keskustori – Rahola, connecting services of the current lines 7, 11 and 29. Line 14 operates a new route Petsamo – Keskustori – Pirkkahalli – Pere, connecting services of the current lines 3, 7 and 11. The current line number 10 Järvensivu – Pispalanharju is transformed into line 15. The current line number 15 Kaukajärvi – Keskustori will be changed into number 10. Line 17 runs a new route Vehmainen – Keskustori – Kalkku. The current schedule remains valid. Line 26 operates a new route Höytämö – Multisilta – Hatanpää – Keskustori – Kaarila. Night busses towards Peltolammi and Multisilta will be operated only on lines 5 and 50. Line 27 operates a new route Irjala – TAYS – Keskustori – Ryydynpohja. The current schedule remains valid. Service bus connections replacing line 27 from Irjala and Huikkaa towards Sammonkatu will be operated by a new service bus line on weekdays during office hours. Line 28 operates a new route Sorila – Keskustori – Siivikkala. The current schedule remains valid. Line 29 has a new route Linnainmaa – Keskustori – Pitkäniemi. The new schedule is slightly less frequent on weekdays. The less frequent schedule is compensated by lines 11 and 27 on their new routes. The current line 6 TAYS – Hervanta – Hatanpään has a new line number 32. The current route and schedule remain valid. Line 33 Lahdesjärvi – Nirva – Keskustori will operate also on Saturdays. Line 36 changes its route in Peltolammi, running on Lempääläntie instead of Rukkamäentie. On Rukkamäentie the service is covered by the new line 26. Line numbers not operating further in Tampere Line number 6 will no longer be operative. The new line number is 32. The current route and schedule remain valid. Line number 7 will no longer be operative. In Hatanpää and Sarankulma, the service is replaced by the new lines 11 and 14. In Pohtola and Siivikkala, line 7 is replaced by the new line 28. Line number 16 will no longer be operative and the service is replaced by the new lines 1 and 30. In addition, lines number 18, 22, 23 and 30 will no longer be operative. Line number 18 becomes 8, line number 22 becomes 9, line number 23 becomes 4, and line number 30 becomes 3. Line number 37 will no longer be operative and the service is replaced by line 8 in Risso and by line 47 in other parts of the route. In addition, line 39 will no longer be operative and the service is replaced by lines 3 and 4. Pirkkala Line 1 runs from Pirkkala to Kangasala via Tampere. In Pirkkala, some busses run to the airport, Vaitti via Takamaa, Kyösti, and Teollisuustie. Line 1 replaces lines 61 and 62. Line 11 runs from Toivio along Nuolialantie to Tampere every day of the week. Line 14 runs from Tampere to Pere. On weekdays, every other bus extends from Pere to Nokia via Pirkkala and Pitkäniemi. Line 65 operates a new route Linnakallio – Pirkkala – Härmälä – Hervanta, replacing lines 60 and 65. During the school year, line 63 runs from Suuppa to Äijälä. (No traffic during summertime.) Kangasala Line 40 operates the route Kaivanto/Pikonlinna – Kangasala – Tampere/Koskipuisto, where it changes into number 50 running to Lempäälä, replacing lines 70 and 71. Line 1 operates a route from Tampere to Lentola via Vatiala. This line accepts zone 1 tickets. Line 45 operates a route from the station area to Lentola and Kangasala city centre. Some busses run to Pitkäjärvi elementary. In Lentola, there is a transfer connection to Tampere on line 1. Line 47 operates a route from Ruutana to Tampere. Line 46 runs to Kangasala city centre. Sahalahti is covered by line 42 and Ponsa by line 41. These lines are not operated by Tampere Public Transport, but accept the respective tickets in zones 1 and 2. Lempäälä Line 26 operates a route from Tampere to Höytämö via Multisilta and Sääksjärvi. This line accepts zone 1 tickets. Line 50 replaces line 71. This line operates the route Haurala – Lempäälä – Koskipuisto/Tampere, where it changes into number 40 running to Kangasala. Line 55 combines the previous motorway lines 71B and 54. This line runs from Tampere to Vesilahti via Lempäälä. Lines 52 and 53 run from Lempäälä to Valkeakoski. These lines are not operated by Tampere Public Transport, but accept the respective tickets in zones 1 and 2. Nokia On line 70 between Tampere and Nokia, almost all busses run the motorway route. This line terminates at Nokia railway station. Line 71 is a local Nokia line on route Kalkku – Kankaantaka – Nokian asema – Koskenmäki – Keho. This line has a transfer connection to Tampere on line 70. Line 72 runs between Nokia and Tampere on route Tervasuo – Keho – Vihola – Tampere. Line 74 operates the route Nokia – Myllyhaka – Kankaantaka – Keskustori/Tampere. Line 73 is a local Nokia line on route Harjuniitty – Myllyhaka – Nokian asema – Vihola – Keho. This line has a transfer connection to Tampere on line 70. Line 77 runs between Nokia and Tottijärvi. This line terminates at Nokia railway station. Line 29 runs from Pitkäniemi to Tampere. This line accepts zone 1 tickets. Line 14 runs between Tampere and Pirkkala, with some busses extending to Nokia via Pitkäniemi. Line 78 from Tampere to Sarkola and line 79 to Siuro/Linnavuori are not operated by Tampere Public Transport. West of Harjuniitty the lines only accept Matkahuolto tickets. Vesilahti Line 55 connects the previous lines 54 and 71B. The line operates the route Tampere – Ideapark – Lempäälä – Vesilahti, with some busses extending to Narva. Orivesi Transport between Orivesi and Tampere is based on long-haul traffic. In Orivesi, the lines accept Matkahuolto tickets (additionally, the eastern regional ticket of Tampere). Ylöjärvi Line 13 runs between Tampere and Ylöjärvi on the route Hermia – Keskustori – Tesoma – Lamminpää – Vuorentausta – Soppeenmäki. This line accepts zone 1 tickets until Lamminpää. When travelling in the Ylöjärvi region, a regional ticket or a regional single ticket is needed. Line 28 runs from Tampere to Siivikkala and accepts zone 1 tickets. Lines 80 and 85 run from Ylöjärvi to Tampere via Mikkolantie. These lines are not operated by Tampere Public Transport.
