The S3 - S6 league ran between Sept and December culminating in a tournament held at Broughton. Leith, Drummond, Broughton and Trinity all took part. Leith were crowned the champions once again. The event is part of the Sport and Outdoor Learning Unit’s Commonwealth Games ‘Be Part of It’ in Edinburgh 1,600 programme, and gives schools the unique opportunity of experiencing 3 different activities in one event. With Triathlon being one of the opening sports of the Commonwealth Games, and a sport growing in numbers since the London Olympics, 1,400 it drew in more participants than ever before.

The Active Schools team are involved in encouraging all pupils to attend all the EPSSA events however EPSSA Interscholastics Commonwealth Finals are particularly involved in the running of 5 of the main events including Triathlon, (‘A’ Schools) 1,050 Swimming Gala, Cross Country and the athletics event, Interscholastics, which is EPSSA Interscholastics Commonwealth Finals held over 2 days.
