ALDERWASLEY PARISH COUNCIL Minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on Tuesday 17 September 2019 in St Margaret’s Hall, Alderwasley Present: Mrs H Wordley in the Chair, Mr D Deaville, Mr K MacArthur, Mr K Matkin, Mr H Oulton, Mrs R Spendlove, Councillor Taylor, one member of the public and Clerk 24/19 Apologies for Absence None 25/19 Declarations of Members’ Interests Councillor Deaville declared a pecuniary interest in minute number 28/19 (a) as the applicant was a family member 26/19 Public Speaking Councillor Taylor reported that DCC had attended a meeting about health care in Belper and the outcome would become public at a later stage. He said that the newly elected Planning Board at AVBC had recindered two previously approved planning permissions on brownfield sites 27/19 Minutes of the meeting held on 16 July 2019 RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 16 July 2019 and they were signed by the Chair as a true record. 28/19 Consideration of Planning Applications Councillor Deaville left the meeting at this stage (a) AVA/2019/0672 – Conversion of existing pig barns to 8 self-catering units, demolition of existing hay barn and erection of one barn to provide office and function space at Home Farm, New Road, Alderwasley RESOLVED to make the no comments on this application Councillor Deaville rejoined the meeting (b) AVA/2019/0901 – Change of use of part of building to bar area at Tannenbaum Camp Site, Belper Road, Alderwasley RESOLVED to make the following comments We believe this to be a retrospective planning application and if alcohol is to be served, we expect that the correct license will be in place (c) TRE/2019/0523 – Removal of Goat Willow(T1), Birch (T2) and Pine (T3) RESOLVED to make no comments on this application 29/19 Clerk’s report (a) Historic England email RESOLVED to note that an application had been made by a member of the public to list the War Memorial (b) Memorial Application for Grave Number 259 RESOLVED to approve the memorial application (c) DCC Snow Warden Scheme RESOLVED to appoint Mr Matkin and Mr M Oulton as Snow Wardens and for the grit to be delivered to Springfield Farm as in previous years Signed......................... (d) AVBC’s Climate Emergency RESOLVED to support the climate emergency and to notify them that the village hall was heated by a ground source heat pump and that the hall reduced plastic waste some time ago by not using plastic cutlery and plates etc (e) DCC Minor Maintenance Scheme – RESOLVED that Councillors Spendlove and Wordley would walk the paths in Shining Cliff Woods to see if any minor footpath repairs were needed and to report back to the next meeting (f) DCC Parish and Town Council Liaison Committee Survey RESOLVED not to complete the survey (g) Additional cutting back in the Hurt Burial Ground and Cemetery The Clerk reported that she had spoken to Mr Hurt and he had agreed to make a contribution of £75 towards the works. RESOLVED to accept the quotation of £125 to carry out the works and to give the Clerk delegated powers to negotiate a cost for the removal of the arisings (h) East Midlands Airport Future Programme Online Survey RESOLVED not to complete the survey but for Members to take part as individuals if they wished to (i) Derbyshire County of Culture 2022-2023 Members considered the letters from Pauline Latham MP and George Gunby regarding the Festival.
