Album Available ((Free)) On: http://www.tigerm.net Album Story | You Mix Me All Up! XDD Summer Love 2011 | TIGER M 2 An Introduction (( You Mix Me All Up! XDD Summer Love 2011 )) This album honestly began because of a “mistake” that I made while looking for a song on the hard drive of Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine. (My Hewlett-Packard m7170n Media Center Desktop PC ^_^) Between 2002 when I first began Darton College and 2005 when I departed Darton College and began creating the original music album “It’s Go Time Baby, Your Place Is The Dance Floor!” (prior to “DJ Edition”) I had begun accumulating and ordering music on the family computer. (prior to departing my birth home.) There was a folder that I had named “Dealing With Music” which is where I placed all new music that I put onto the family computer. (Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine is not the home family computer. Keep reading. ^_^) Even music that existed initially only on physical CDs that I had purchased (this was before YouTube or Google if you can imagine it…) – when the music was ripped from CDs and placed onto the computer hard drive – the songs went into this folder inside of their own sub-folder which usually contained the name of the album. thanks to the invention of USB external Hard drives, any computer that I have ever had the pleasure of owning or utilizing has had the ability to have this folder. Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine (my very first computer ever purchased in my name) – was the first of my computers to take on and “inherent” this file folder full of music.

  • Funk Is Its Own Reward": an Analysis of Selected Lyrics In
ABSTRACT AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES LACY, TRAVIS K. B.A. CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY DOMINGUEZ HILLS, 2000 "FUNK IS ITS OWN REWARD": AN ANALYSIS OF SELECTED LYRICS IN POPULAR FUNK MUSIC OF THE 1970s Advisor: Professor Daniel 0. Black Thesis dated July 2008 This research examined popular funk music as the social and political voice of African Americans during the era of the seventies. The objective of this research was to reveal the messages found in the lyrics as they commented on the climate of the times for African Americans of that era. A content analysis method was used to study the lyrics of popular funk music. This method allowed the researcher to scrutinize the lyrics in the context of their creation. When theories on the black vernacular and its historical roles found in African-American literature and music respectively were used in tandem with content analysis, it brought to light the voice of popular funk music of the seventies. This research will be useful in terms of using popular funk music as a tool to research the history of African Americans from the seventies to the present. The research herein concludes that popular funk music lyrics espoused the sentiments of the African-American community as it utilized a culturally familiar vernacular and prose to express the evolving sociopolitical themes amid the changing conditions of the seventies era. • London Life Hacks: Culture
LONDON LIFE HACKS: CULTURE Hi there, my name is Amy Norris and I work as a Study Abroad Peer Advisor and Student Ambassador at King’s College London. I have created this handy guide on culture in London. Check it out for cool recommendations for art, museums, nightlife, music and theatre in London! ART The most well-known galleries in London are possibly the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery. These are located on Trafalgar Square, so just a 10-minute walk from Strand campus if you’ve got an hour to kill in between lectures! If you’re into contemporary art, check out the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea. If you’re more traditional, try the Wallace Collection; situated in a beautiful manor house in Westminster, this is one of the best collections of European art. The arms & armour exhibitions are amazing! I’d recommend trying out both the Tate Britain and the Tate Modern. These are two of my favourite places in the city. It’s a lovely walk down the Thames between the two galleries, or you can hop on the Tate boat! The Late at Tate events are well-worth checking out – you can explore the galleries after-hours, and there’s always music and extra exhibits going on. The Royal Academy of Arts is a fantastic independent gallery – their Summer Exhibition is always one to look out for. Whitechapel Gallery, however, is one of the best public galleries. Recent exhibitions have covered everything from the Guerrilla Girls to Paolozzi. We also have the Courtauld Gallery right next door to Strand Campus in Somerset House – the permanent exhibition includes a Manet, and a van Gogh, and you get free admission with your King’s ID! MUSEUMS It’s no lie that London has some of the best museums in the world, and most of them are free to visit.

  • The Bbc Trust Report: On-Screen and On-Air Talent Including an Independent Assessment and Report by Oliver & Ohlbaum Associates
THE BBC TRUST REPORT: ON-SCREEN AND ON-AIR TALENT INCLUDING AN INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT AND REPORT BY OLIVER & OHLBAUM ASSOCIATES MAY 2008 2 BBC TRUST CONCLUSIONS The issue of talent costs The BBC Trust operates to protect the interests of licence fee payers who pay for and own the BBC. As part of this we seek to ensure quality and value for money for licence fee payers and to challenge BBC management to use everything at their disposal to deliver both. An area where this is particularly complex is the salaries paid to on-screen and on-air talent. During the course of 2006, press reports about presenters’ salaries aroused industry and public concern and led some people to question the BBC’s approach to the talent it employs. This debate was still live when the Trust was established as the BBC’s governing body in January 2007. It was and has remained a topic raised by the public with Trustees during our appearances on radio phone-ins and at public meetings in all parts of the UK. Against this background the Trust commissioned an independent review, conducted by Oliver and Ohlbaum Associates Ltd (O&O), to provide an in depth examination of the BBC’s use of on air and on screen talent. We posed O&O three specific questions: • How do the size and structure of the BBC's reward packages for talent compare with the rest of the market? • What has been the impact of the BBC's policy on the talent market, particularly in relation to cost inflation? • To what extent do the BBC's policy and processes in relation to investment in, and reward of, talent support value for money? We are publishing O&O’s report which seeks to answer these questions, the BBC management’s response to the points it raises and our own judgements informed by this evidence.

  • Tom Middleton
Artists – Tom Middleton According to Star Wars folklore, Jedi knights are benign individuals able to harness the fundamental energy of the universe, The Force, and make it do their bidding. Not just anyone can do this: only a select few are blessed with the necessary levels of cosmic talent. And even still, the road to Jedi knighthood is long and arduous, requiring years of training, practice and total focus. However those that stay the course are able to wield super-powers far beyond the capabilities of mere mortals. For 30-year-old earthling Tom Middleton - sonic evanchillist, disco catalyst, gastronaught par excellence, beardy bloke from Cornwall - The Force translates as The Funk. And, as Yoda might say, The Funk is strong with this one. Best known for his solo productions as Cosmos, as well as being one half of Global Communication and The Jedi Knights, alongside long-term cohort Mark Pritchard, Middleton's route to mastering The Funk has resulted in a decade-long stream of lightsabre-sharp productions and remixes which have, repeatedly, boldly gone where no-one in the dance music universe has gone before. Along the way, he has kickstarted the late-Nineties chillout explosion (Global Communication's 'ambient house' LP '76:14' inspired the promoters of The Big Chill to start the now-infamous festival in order to give downtempo music greater exposure); he helped shape the Nu School Breaks movement (the Jedi Knights' fusion of house, electro and breakbeats on their 'New School Science' LP is cited by scene leader Adam Freeland as a major
