320+ Halloween Songs and Albums 320+ Halloween Songs and Albums Over 320 Songs for Halloween Theme Rides in Your Indoor Cycling Classes Compiled by Jennifer Sage, updated October 2014 Halloween presents a unique opportunity for some really fun musically themed classes—the variety is only limited by your imagination. Songs can include spooky, dark, or classic-but-cheesy Halloween tunes (such as Monster Mash). Or you can imagine the wide variety of costumes and use those themes. I’ve included a few common themes such as Sci-Fi and Spy Thriller in my list. Over the years I’ve gotten many of these song suggestions from various online forums, other instructors, and by simply searching online music sources for “Halloween”, “James Bond”, “Witch”, “Ghost” and other key words. This is my most comprehensive list to date. If you have more song ideas, please email them to me so I can continually update this list for future versions. [email protected]. This year’s playlist contains 50 new specific song suggestions and numerous new album suggestions. I’ve included a lot more from the “darkwave” and “gothic” genres. I’ve added “Sugar/Candy” as its own theme. Sources: It’s impossible to list multiple sources for every song but to speed the process up for you, we list at least one source so you don’t spend hours searching for these songs. As with music itself, you have your own preference for downloading sources, so you may want to check there first. Also, some countries may not have the same music available due to music rights. My own preference is to first look on eMusic, because it is the least expensive means of acquiring music legally, that is, if you download a lot of music. Especially for Halloween or other theme songs, who wants to pay very much for songs that you’ll probably use once a year? (Although a few of the songs included are more versatile and can be used throughout the year). Songs on eMusic are usually about about half the cost of iTunes when purchased as a member, so it may be worthwhile just joining for a month to download a bunch of them. You’ll probably be able to d/l 15–20 songs depending on the price (the lowest per song price is $.49, and up to $.79 for more popular or mainstream tracks). When I cannot find it on eMusic, I’ll then check Amazon, where songs usually cost $.10 - $.30 less than iTunes. Amazon has two sources, one for CD purchases and for Mp3s. Some are only available on CD, but make sure to check both. Amazon has probably the widest selection of all Copyright © 2014 IndoorCyclingAssociation.com Page 1 Indoor Cycling Association 300+ Halloween Songs and Albums music. If you cannot find a song on any of these three, then Google the song and see if it is available on another source, such as a foreign download site (some unfortunately are foreign songs, only available in the US as imports). There are a few other sites I list, such as Spinning.com or a mashup site. Of course, Spotify is also a great source if you don’t want to own the song, but you’ll find that many aren’t available. In each of the sources, do a search for “Halloween” under “Albums”. You will get dozens of additional options for Halloween anthems. Many are covers or remixes, some are good, some are really quite bad, but many will make good “filler” songs for your Halloween rides. You may also want to search for “soundtracks” or “films” for movies, such as Batman, Spiderman, the Matrix and more. ICA now has five Halloween profiles to choose from, each with suggested playlists. • Hounds of Halloween 2013 • The Feared Fang Mountain Ride 2013 • Truth AND Consequences 2012 • Trick or Treat 2012 • It’s a Halloween Party in the Hills 2011 If you are lucky enough to teach several different classes over the Halloween week, you can teach a different ICA profile each day of the week! Or if creating your own, you may want to create a different theme for each one. Here are just a few options: • Cheesy Halloween songs • Spooky/eerie • Monsters (Frankenstein, vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc) • Murder (from various soundtracks, Johnny Bernstein, etc) • Spy/intrigue • UFO/Starwars theme • Pirates • Movie soundtracks • Sugar/candy • Middle Earth, fantasy For the 300+ song playlist that follows (plus over 40 albums), I use the following abbreviations: E = eMusic; A = Amazon, I = iTunes, S = Spotify. I have highlighted in yellow the songs that I particularly like, (and double star** it when I really like it and it’s almost always in my yearly Halloween playlist), but that doesn’t mean some of the others aren’t excellent or that you might like them better. I’ve also highlighted in green the newest additions for 2014, since many download my list every year. 2013 was an especially fruitful year with many new songs, so this year I don’t have as many. • Album Story | You Mix Me All Up! XDD Summer Love 2011 | TIGER M 2
Album Available ((Free)) On: http://www.tigerm.net Album Story | You Mix Me All Up! XDD Summer Love 2011 | TIGER M 2 An Introduction (( You Mix Me All Up! XDD Summer Love 2011 )) This album honestly began because of a “mistake” that I made while looking for a song on the hard drive of Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine. (My Hewlett-Packard m7170n Media Center Desktop PC ^_^) Between 2002 when I first began Darton College and 2005 when I departed Darton College and began creating the original music album “It’s Go Time Baby, Your Place Is The Dance Floor!” (prior to “DJ Edition”) I had begun accumulating and ordering music on the family computer. (prior to departing my birth home.) There was a folder that I had named “Dealing With Music” which is where I placed all new music that I put onto the family computer. (Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine is not the home family computer. Keep reading. ^_^) Even music that existed initially only on physical CDs that I had purchased (this was before YouTube or Google if you can imagine it…) – when the music was ripped from CDs and placed onto the computer hard drive – the songs went into this folder inside of their own sub-folder which usually contained the name of the album. thanks to the invention of USB external Hard drives, any computer that I have ever had the pleasure of owning or utilizing has had the ability to have this folder. Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine (my very first computer ever purchased in my name) – was the first of my computers to take on and “inherent” this file folder full of music.

  • Mark III Owners Manual
MESA-BOOGIE MARK III OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS MESA ENGINEERING CONGRATULATIONS! You've just become the proud owner of the world's finest guitar amplifier. When people come up to compliment you on your tone, you can smile knowingly ... and hopefully you'll tell them a little about us! This amplifier has been designed, refined and constructed to deliver maximum musical performance of any style, in any situation. And in order to live up to that tall promise, the controls must be very powerful and sophisticated. But don't worry! Just by following our sample settings, you'll be getting great sounds immediately. And as you gain more familiarity with the Boogie's controls, it will provide you with much greater depth and more lasting satisfaction from your music. THREE MODES For approximately twelve years, the evolution of the guitar amplifier has largely been pioneered by MESA-Boogie. The Original Mark I Boogie was the first amplifier to offer successful lead enhancement. Then the Mark II Boogie was the first amplifier to introduce footswitching between lead and rhythm. Now your new Mark III offers three footswitchable modes of operation: Rhythm 1, Rhythm 2 and Lead. Rhythm 1 is primarily for playing bright and sparkling clean (although a little crunch is available by running the Volume at 10). You might think of Rhythm 1 as "the Fender mode”. Rhythm 2 is mainly for crunch chords, chunking metal patterns and some blues (but low settings of the Volume 1 will produce an alternate clean sound that is very fat and warm). Think of Rhythm 2 as "the Marshall mode".

'What ever happened to breakdancing?' Transnational h-hoy/b-girl networks, underground video magazines and imagined affinities. Mary Fogarty Submitted in partial fulfillment Of the requirements for the degree of Interdisciplinary MA in Popular Culture Brock University St. Catharines, Ontario © November 2006 For my sister, Pauline 111 Acknowledgements The Canada Graduate Scholarship (SSHRC) enabled me to focus full-time on my studies. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to my committee members: Andy Bennett, Hans A. Skott-Myhre, Nick Baxter-Moore and Will Straw. These scholars have shaped my ideas about this project in crucial ways. I am indebted to Michael Zryd and Francois Lukawecki for their unwavering kindness, encouragement and wisdom over many years. Steve Russell patiently began to teach me basic rules ofgrammar. Barry Grant and Eric Liu provided comments about earlier chapter drafts. Simon Frith, Raquel Rivera, Anthony Kwame Harrison, Kwande Kefentse and John Hunting offered influential suggestions and encouragement in correspondence. Mike Ripmeester, Sarah Matheson, Jeannette Sloniowski, Scott Henderson, Jim Leach, Christie Milliken, David Butz and Dale Bradley also contributed helpful insights in either lectures or conversations. AJ Fashbaugh supplied the soul food and music that kept my body and mind nourished last year. If AJ brought the knowledge then Matt Masters brought the truth. (What a powerful triangle, indeed!) I was exceptionally fortunate to have such noteworthy fellow graduate students. Cole Lewis (my summer writing partner who kept me accountable), Zorianna Zurba, Jana Tomcko, Nylda Gallardo-Lopez, Seth Mulvey and Pauline Fogarty each lent an ear on numerous much needed occasions as I worked through my ideas out loud.

  • Aurora Models, Garage Kits and the Object Practices of Horror
Materializing Monsters: Aurora Models, Garage Kits, and the Object Practices of Horror Media Bob Rehak Figure 1 The July 1962 issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland carried an advertisement for a new product from Aurora Plastics Company: a scale model of Frankenstein’s Monster (Figure 1). Announcing the first in what would become a long-running and profitable line of Aurora kits based on classic horror-movie creatures, the ad copy, running beside an exploded view of the model’s individual parts alongside a finished and painted version, emphasized rather than elided the steps required to make it whole: YOU ASKED FOR IT — AND HERE IT IS: A COMPLETE KIT of molded styrene plastic to assemble the world’s most FAMOUS MONSTER — 2 Frankenstein! A total of 25 separate pieces go into the making of this exciting, perfectly-scaled model kit by Aurora, quality manufacturer of scale model hobby sets. The FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER stands over 12-inches when assembled. You paint it yourself with quick-dry enamel, and when finished the menacing figure of the great monster appears to walk right off the GRAVESTONE base that is part of this kit. Taken with its insistent second-person you, the text’s avowal of “kit-ness” suggests that the appeal of monster models stemmed not just from their iconic content, but the way they promised to transform readers into modelers in a mutually reinforcing relationship of agency, much as the otherwise static and nonarticulated plastic monster would appear to “walk right off” its base.
