The Spires are 0-3 on the year, and 0-2 in the KCAC. SPORTS INFORMATION After a scoreless first quarter, the Spires converted a short fourth down play to extend their drive. Quarterback Jalil SID: Tyler Scott Grimes would convert a long third down pass play to Matthew Email: [email protected] Graham as he found the end zone to give the Spires a 7-0 lead. Both teams then traded possessions. Saint Mary would regain the lead after CJ Erwin converted on a field goal and the Spires tackled Bethany in the end zone for a safety, taking a 12-7 lead late in the third quarter. Bethany was then able to take the entire momentum in the fourth quarter as they scored two touchdowns on two straight possessions to regain the lead. They later blocked a punt into MEDIA the end zone, which resulted in a safety as the Swedes took a 21-12 lead.
