Jantz Stadium in Winfield. The Braves own a 31-27-3 advantage in the all-time 2014 SOUTHWESTERN COACHING STAFF series with the Moundbuilders, and have won six-straight over Southwestern dating back to the 2008 season. On the Field... Southwestern’s last win over Ottawa came in a 28-14 decision on Nov. 3, 2007, in Winfield. -Ken Crandall (Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator) -Jimmie Tagg (Co-Defensive Coordinator) -Sitting at 1-6 after the first seven weeks of the 2014 season, the Moundbuilders are off to their worst start since -Wyatt Jiru (Running Backs) the 2008 season. That team started the season 0-9, and finished with a 1-9 overall record. -Victor Redd (Wide Receivers) -After missing most of the 2013 season due to injury, junior linebacker Eric Walker has quickly made his way to In the Press Box... the national spotlight. Walker enters Saturday’s contest ranked No. 3 in the NAIA with 12.9 tackles per contest, -Andy Krause (Co-Defensive Coordinator) including 13 total tackles for loss, a mark that ranks 9th nationally. Senior linebacker Paul Mata has also emerged -Mark Scott (Special Teams Coordinator, Linebackers) as a force to be reckoned with in the defensive backfield. Mata currently ranked No. 13 in the NAIA with 10.6 -Jonathon Lyons (Tight Ends) tackles per game. -Redshirt Freshman Mario Esparza has been nearly automatic in his point-after-touchdown attempts this season. Esparza is a perfect 14-for-14 in PAT attempts, and is one of 19 NAIA kickers that have not missed an extra point attempt this season. Ony seven NAIA kickers have made more consecutive PAT attempts than Esparza, one of which is Ottawa’s Dominic Sigala, who is 27-for-27 in his PAT attempts.
