SOUTHWESTERN QUICK HITS Nov. 10 at Bethany 1:30 p.m. Anderson Stadium (2,500) - Lindsborg, Kan. -Southwestern is looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since the 2009 season Saturday when the Moundbuilders travel to McPherson to take on the upstart McPherson Bulldogs. 2012 SOUTHWESTERN COACHING STAFF On the Field... -Bethel and Tabor were the opponents when Southwestern last posted back-to-back wins. The Moundbuilders -Ken Crandall (Head Coach) picked up a 21-20 win over Bethel on Oct. 31, 2009 before knocking off Tabor, 23-20, one week later. Both games -Jimmie Tagg (Offensive Coordinator) were played in Winfield. -Logan Wyrick (Running Backs/Tight Ends) -Andrew Krause (Defensive Coordinator) -Southwestern’s last 2-0 start in KCAC play came in 2007. The Moundbuilders opened that season with a 12-7 win -Eric McCormick (Defensive Line Coach) over Saint Mary, then knocked off McPherson two weeks later for a 34-21 win. -Kenard Calhoun (Linebackers) -McPherson Stadium has not been kind to the Moundbuilders recently. Southwestern’s last win in McPherson In the Press Box... came on Nov. 12, 2005 when the Moundbuilders defeated the Bulldogs, 49-21. Ken Crandall has never left -Joe Pirillo (Offensive Line) McPherson Stadium as a winner. -Cody Melby (Offensive Assistant -Kevin Griffin (Inside Linebackers) -Southwestern owns a 42-14 all-time record against the Bulldogs, but McPherson has won the last three meet- ings between the two teams. -McPherson is one of four Southwestern opponents in the latest edition of the NAIA Top-25. The Bulldogs, along with Kansas Wesleyan and Friends, are receiving votes in the poll. Non-conference opponent Northwestern is No. 17.
