She had 58 assists, three service aces, and 15 digs in OU’s victories over Avila University, Sterling College, and York College. Running OU’s 5-2 offense, Montgomery averaged 19.3 assists per match and 2020 KCAC Standings a whopping 6.4 assists per set. It is the first time that she has received the honor. Team KCAC Overall Ottawa University 6-0 9-2 - The Braves lead the series with Saint Mary, 39-13. Ottawa went 1-1 against the Spires last season. The Tabor College 6-1 13-4 Braves fell 3-1, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 19-25, against USM in Leavenworth on Oct. 23, 2019. Ottawa defeated McPherson College 4-2 7-4 the Spires in the KCAC Tournament championship match 3-1; 25-20, 25-20, 19-25, 25-16 on Nov. 16. The first Avila University 3-2 7-6 meeting between OU and USM happened on Oct. 23, 1986 in Wilson Field House. OU won the match 2-0; 15-2, Oklahoma Wesleyan Uni. 3-2 11-3 15-1. Southwestern College 4-3 4-10 Kansas Wesleyan Uni. 4-4 8-7 - In the win last year over USM, Ottawa had 56 kills, a .165 attacking percentage, 52 assists, three service Bethany College 3-3 6-4 aces, 85 digs, and nine team blocks. Sterling College 3-4 13-5 Bethel College 1-2 1-7 - Ottawa has not lost at home to Saint Mary since Oct. 4, 2008 when USM defeated the Braves, 3-2; 26-24, Friends University 1-4 5-7 21-25, 23-25, 25-21, 12-15. That is a winning streak of 12 straight home victories. University of Saint Mary 0-5 0-5 York College 0-6 0-10 - USM has opened the season with an overall and KCAC record of 0-5. The Spires fell in their last match to Bethel College on Oct. 28, 3-0; 25-20, 37-35, 25-21. USM finished the match with 41 kills, a .213 attacking 2020 KCAC Coaches Poll percentage, 36 assists, five service aces, 61 digs, and five team blocks. Jalen Keener led USM with 11 kills while Jaycee Mack finished with 10 kills.
