This document consists of the “Statement of Persons Nominated” for each of the 17 Wards of the West Oxfordshire District in which there are elections on Thursday 22 May. The following may also be of interest: There is one vacancy in each area, and all are contested The total number of candidates is 66: 17 Conservatives; 11 Greens; 3 Independents; 15 Labour/Labour and Co-operative; 9 Liberal Democrats; and 11 UKIP Ten sitting councillors are seeking re-election The successful candidates will serve a four year term of office, with the exception of the Stonesfield and Tackley Ward – in that case, because the election is to fill a vacancy following a resignation, the person elected will serve until May 2016 The counts will take place on Friday 23 May and when they have been concluded the results will be available on the WODC website: www.westoxon.gov.uk/elections then follow the links to the results page.
