Country Club of Lansing Program 2021 Season The following are some adjustments to the Caddie Program for the 2021 season. The policies below will be in effect until further notice.

The goal of this program is to provide a safe environment for staff and members alike.

SOME RECCOMMNEDED GENERAL SAFTEY MEASURES: • Masks are required by all persons entering the clubhouse and may but are not required outside of the clubhouse. • Any individual with any respiratory illness should stay home until symptoms have resolved- and they are fever-free for 48 hours. • Frequent washing of hands is effective in limiting exposure to this virus. Hand sanitizer will be available in multiple areas around the club. • Public water fountains, and self-serve fountain drinks are not available until further notice. should bring their own bottled water. • Caddie meals will be provided at the halfway house for caddies working.

SOCIAL DISTANCING • Caddies and golfers should follow recommended social distancing guidelines – 6 feet, unless recommended otherwise. o This will need to be monitored by staff, golfers/members and experienced caddies. Minimize clusters of golfers and caddies and maintain proper spacing. Focus on the and green, where most congregating occurs. o If carrying a bag, a caddie should always walk a distance greater than 10 feet from his or her golfer. o When placing the bag down, the bag should be a minimum of 10 feet from the ball. The caddie should then back away 6 feet until the club is selected. o Whether carrying or forecaddying, caddies and golfers need to focus on keeping their distance and not getting close for any reason. • No handshaking or other form of physical contact (high-fives, “knuckles,” hug, etc.). o Introductions may be made verbally from a safe distance. • Caddies should social distance on the greens. o Caddies will fix ball marks and make sure all clubs are clean and accounted for each hole.

GUIDELINES FOR DAILY MONITORING CADDIES AS THEY ARRIVE AT THE CLUB TO CADDIE Everyday a Caddie will fill out a COVID-19 Assessment Form and temperature taken as they arrive to ensure they are healthy to caddie. PROCEDURE FOR PAYING CADDIES Members will orally communicate the amount to pay their caddie to the Golf Services Staff. The golf services staff will communicate the amount to the caddie and process the payment.

CADDIE CARRYING A GOLF BAG A. A caddie will be assigned one bag (rarely two golf bags). B. The caddie will not touch the golf clubs. C. Caddies will remain at least 6 feet from the golfer. D. Caddies will present the golf bag and step away at least 6 ft from the bag so the player can select the club they would like to use. The player will hit the shot and return the to the golf bag. E. Caddies will be responsible for providing the player with information on yardage as well as retrieving and replacing divots. F. Green duties would only include assisting the player with reading the green and fixing ball marks.

CADDIES ASSIGNED TO DRIVE A FOR TWO PLAYERS WALKING. A. The caddie is the only person that should drive the golf cart. B. Players should remove and replace their own clubs in the golf bag C. Caddie will remain at least 6 feet from players. D. Caddie will be responsible for providing the player with information on yardage as well as retrieving and replacing divots. E. Green duties would only include assisting the player with reading the green and fixing ball marks.

CADDIES ASSIGNED TO FORECADDIE A. The caddie is not to touch the golf cart or equipment of the player. B. The caddie should be positioned ahead of the golfers to monitor the flight of the and assist in locating golf balls. C. Caddie will be responsible for providing the player with information on yardage as well as retrieving and replacing divots. D. Green duties would only include assisting the player with reading the green and fixing ball marks.

These are just some of the different procedures in place and must be followed by all caddies and members. Any caddy that does not follow these procedures will not be allowed to work. Additionally, if any caddy feels unsafe while working please contact me so that we can rectify any lack of adherence to these policies by other caddies or members.

Hopefully, we can get back to normal very soon but until then we must do all that we can to protect our staff, members, and their guests.
