The survey of companies in the logistics industry in the Gothenburg region was conducted by Business Region Göteborg with support from Prospero.

The analysis is based on a selection of Swedish Standard Industrial Classification (SNI) codes and encompasses the years 2008, 2012 and 2016.

A review found 1,717 companies operating in the industry. No minimum company size has been used. This is to highlight the industry structure.

Certain sectors have been excluded, such as shipping companies. This is because they are included in another cluster analysis, namely that of the maritime industries. Some sectors smaller than traditional logistics companies have been included as they ought to be classed as logistics-related.

The companies in the survey are included only to the extent of their operations/facilities in the Gothenburg region.

The next slide lists the SNI codes included in and excluded from the analysis.
