The World Wheelchair Curling Qualification 2010 at the Kisakallio Sport Institute in Lohja, Finland, is the first milestone on the road towards the 2014 games in Sochi. From here two teams will gain entry to the 2011 POHJOIS-KARJALAN SAIRAANHOITO- JA World Wheelchair Curling Championship next February in Prague and the possibility SOSIAALIPALVELUJEN of qualification points for the next winter Paralympics in Russia. L’importante appuntamento di Cavalese chiude la stagione 2011/2012 del curling italiano: una stagione ricca di soddisfazioni, con l’argento conquistato ad Innsbruck alle Olimpiadi Invernali Giovanili e la qualificazione, seguita dalla partecipazione, ai Campionati del Mondo nelle diverse specialità. Una stagione che dimostra le potenzialità di questa affascinante disciplina dentro e fuori i confini nazionali e la crescita che potrà avere nelle prossime stagioni. La manifestazione sarà un test per le Universiadi Invernali in programma dall’11 al 21 dicembre 2013 ed assegnate, per il curling, proprio all’impianto di Cavalese e potrà essere un veicolo promozionale molto importante per la specialità su tutto il territorio.

    Campionati Italiani Curling Ussita (MC) 15/21 aprile 2011 35° Campionato Italiano Assoluto Femminile 55° Campionato Italiano Assoluto Maschile 6° Campionato Italiano Assoluto Wheelchair Campionati Italiani Curling 2011 L’ Amministrazione Comunale rivolge un caloroso saluto di benvenuto agli atleti ed alle società che partecipano ai Campionati Italiani Assoluti di Curling del 15/21 aprile 2011 presso il palaghiaccio di Ussita. La nostra comunità è lieta di ospitare questa occasione di incontro e di sano agonismo e spera che l’evento di Ussita rimanga tra i ricordi belli di ognuno dei partecipanti. Sergio Morosi Sindaco di Ussita Con sincera amicizia e tanta soddisfazione porgo il benvenuto ad atleti, tecnici e dirigenti per questa edizione del Campionato Italiano Assoluto Femminile, Maschile e Wheelchair. Ed è una doppia prima volta: una finale nazionale viene giocata in una Regione del Centro Italia e vi partecipano insieme normodotati e diversamente abili in carrozzina. La strada per arrivare al termine di questa stagione è stata lunga e tutto lo staff che ha partecipato alla programmazione completa il primo importante passo di un nuovo percorso che vuole portare il curling oltre i tradizionali confini delle Alpi. La maggior visibilità verso il Wheelchair vuole significare un’integrazione totale in uno sport dove tutti possono trovare uno spazio di autoaffermazione valorizzando così le proprie potenzialità. Un doveroso ringraziamento alla comunità di Ussita e Visso per la loro fattiva collaborazione sotto l’attenta regia del Delegato regionale FISG Ivan Liberati. Il Comune di Ussita, l’Associazione operatori turistici, la Cooperativa Monti Sibillini, la Polisportiva locale del ghiaccio hanno operato in stretta sinergia per far conoscere questo bellissimo territorio dell’Appennino marchigiano e trascorrere insieme una memorabile settimana di sport.
