Rattusrattus ,Bandicotabengalensis ,B.indica ,Millardiameltada ,Musbooduga , M.platythrix ,Musmusculus ,Tateraindica ,Merioneshurrianae ,Funambuluspennanti ,F.palmarum ,F .tristriatus ,and Hystrix indica areseriouspests.Cereals,pulses,oilseeds,vegetables,fruits,andplantationcropsaredamagedconsiderably.Sownseeds, seedlingsofmaize,sorghum,sunflower,groundnut,redgram,tendercoconut,oilpalm,cardamom,andcocoaaredepredatedmuch more.Othervertebratepestsofsignificanceare Pteropusgiganteus ,Cynopterussphinx ,Rousettusleschenaulti(bats),Boselaphus
