The Need for Khilafat-E-Ahmadiyya KHILAFAT Ref: Friday Sermon 26.5.17 Introduction THE HOLY QUR’AN [24:56] Allah has promised to those ]24:56[ تم میں سے جو لوگ ایمان ﻻئے among you who believe and do اور نیک اعمال بجا ﻻئے اُن سے ہللا نے good works that He will surely make پختہ وعدہ کیا ہے کہ انہیں ضرور زمین them Successors in the earth, as He میں خلیفہ بنائے گا جیسا کہ اُس نے اُن سے made Successors from among those پہلے لوگوں کو خلیفہ بنایا اور اُن کے لئے who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their اُن کے دین کو، جو اُس نے اُن کے لئے religion which He has chosen for پسند کیا، ضرور تمکنت عطا کرے گا اور them; and that He will surely give اُن کی خوف کی حالت کے بعد ضرور اُنہیں them in exchange security and امن کی حالت میں بدل دے گا۔ وہ میری peace after their fear: They will عبادت کریں گے۔ میرے ساتھ کسی کو worship Me, and they will not شریک نہیں ٹھہرائیں گے۔ اور جو اُس کے associate anything with Me. Then بعد بھی ناشکری کرے تو یہی وہ لوگ ہیں whoso is ungrateful after that, they جو نافرمان ہیں۔ .will be the rebellious In this verse of the Holy Quran, Allah has promised Khilafat to Muslims with the conditions of faith and good actions. The Holy Prophet (sa) had foretold that Allah would re-establish the institution of Khilafat in the latter days. We see many wrong notions about Khilafat being preached today by some Muslims scholars. Some even say that there is no need for Khilafat now and that all Muslims should try to act upon Islamic teachings according to his or her understanding. Introduction HADITH Key Points Why do we need Khilafat? What is Khilafat? The beautiful picture of Islam had become The word ‘Khalifah’ is derived from the Arabic dusty over time. So Allah sent Hazrat Mirza word ‘Khalafa’ which means succession- one Ghulam Ahmad (as) who claimed to be the who comes after. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Work carried on by Khalifas... Khalifatul Masih V (aba) Our beloved Promised Messiah (as) fulfilled his We are blessed at the moment, to have our duty of bringing Allah’s Message of the true beloved Huzoor – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Islam in the Modern Age. Before he returned (Ayyadaullah tala Benasrihil Aziz) - Fifth to Allah the Almighty, the Promised Messiah successor to the Promised Messiah (as) to (as) told his followers that his work would be guide and show us the right path. May Second Manifestation. Allah continue to shower this community with His Blessings. Ameen Key Points WE AS AHMADIES ARE FORTUNATE • We, as Ahmadies, are fortunate that we have experienced fulfilment of the glad- tiding of Khilafat on the precepts of Prophethood and we are among those mentioned in the verse of Surah Al Jumu'ah: ‘And among others from among them who have not yet joined them…' (62:4). • We accepted the person about whom the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said that he would ‘bring faith back from the Pleiades’ (Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad) and we were enabled to give greeting to the Messiah for whom the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) sent greetings. • We also have had the grace to take Bai'at of the Khulafa of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). All these blessings demand from every Ahmadi to bring about pure changes in him/her and this is the duty of all his followers so that they may fulfil the dues of Bai'at. Key Points KHILAFAT • Ahmadis should always remember that along with the promise of Khilafat, Allah has drawn our attention towards his worship. If you will uphold your worship of God, all of your fears will be replaced with peace and harmony. We have seen the history of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya that God’s help has always been with the Jama’at and this help and progress continues to increase today with the message now reaching millions of people worldwide. • The enmity of Islam and Ahmadiyyat continues to grow today, but remember that the eventual victory of Islam is decreed at the hands of the Promised Messiah (as) and Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya. It doesn’t matter how much effort the enemies put in as they are decreed to fail Activities/Tasks ACTIVITIES Discussion Time: • What is Khilafat? • What is the purpose/importance of Khilafat? • When is Khilafat Day / Yaume Khilafat ? • What are the blessings of Khilafat? • Who is the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace)? • The advent of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) was foretold to which Prophet? • Who can name all the Khulafa-e-Ahmadiyya in the right chronological order? • How can we keep a true connection with Khilafat? بسم هللا الرحمن الرحيم Surah Al-Anfal Tafsir – Nouman Ali Khan Lecture Notes Introduction and Verse 1 The introduction of this Surah is quite long but it is significant and very important to set the stage for what is about to follow. This is part of a series of surahs – Surah Anfal and Surah Taubah. This surah is related to the previous surah (Surah A’raf) in that they both talk about the ‘Sunnah of Allah’ (Sunnatillah). It talks about how Allah deals with similar Nations in the same way. It is mentioned in the Qur’an: [This is] the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change. [33:62] In the second half of Surah A’raf, Allah talks about the worldly destruction of nations and people that came before, specially the people of Musa and the destruction and drowning of Fir’awn and in Surah Anfal Allah will talk about the destruction of the people of Makkah (NOT the entire Arabian Peninsula). The Makkans here will be destroyed and defeated by the very swords of the believers – the army behind Rasulallah (s). It is not going to be fire from the skies, not a flood or an earthquake but the companions themselves. Part of the Sunnah of Allah is that punishments usually come down in two different forms: 1. Smaller punishments are sent as warnings before it is too late for example the nine signs of Musa(as) 2. Eventually the greater and major punishment is sent down for example the drowning of Fir’awn.

The Role Of The Women In Fighting The Enemies [Please note: Images may have been removed from this document. Page numbers have been added.] By the martyred Shaykh, Al-Hafith Yusuf Bin Salih Al-‘Uyayri (May Allah have Mercy upon him) Introduction In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful Verily all praise is due to Allah, and may the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and all of his companions. To proceed: My honoured sister, Indeed for you is an important and great role; and you must rise and fulfill your obligatory role in Islam 's confrontation of the new Crusade being waged by all the countries of the world against Islam and the Muslims. I will address you in these papers, and I will prolong this address due only to the importance of the topic; [a topic] that is in need of double these papers. So listen, may Allah protect and preserve you. The Muslim Ummah today is suffering from types of disgrace and humiliation that cannot be enumerated; [disgrace and humiliation] that it was not familiar with in its previous eras, and were never as widespread as they are today. And this disgrace and humiliation is not a result of the smallness of the Islamic Ummah or its poverty - it is counted as the largest Ummah today, just as it is the only Ummah that possesses the riches and elements that its enemies do not possess. And the question that presents itself is: what is the reason for this disgrace and humiliation that the Ummah suffers from today, when it is not in need of money or men? We say that

THEMATISCHERessource Titel/Title: Urdu books and pamphlets in the Ahmadiyya Mosque, Berlin Jahr/Year: 2021 Erstellt von/ Razak Khan Compiled by: Quellen/ Landesarchiv Berlin Sources: Beschreibung The list contains the Urdu books and pamphlets found in the library and /Description: storage room of the historic Ahmadiyya mosque, Berlin, during spring of 2019. There exist various writings on the history of the mosque and its famous converts to Islam. However, these writings rely on German sources without considering the rich vernacular Urdu archives of books published and circulated by South Asian Ahmadis. Apart from the mosque’s own German journal Muslimsche Revue started in 1929, there are also copies of Islamic Review published in English from London and Review of Religions started by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in 1902. The English magazine was printed in Lahore and also published from Qadian, Punjab, alongside an Urdu edition. Many of these publications in Urdu were also sent to the Mosque in Berlin. Thus, connection across national and language boundaries appears an essential aspect of these Urdu books and pamphlets. While attention has been paid to German archives, this list documents and highlights the value of Urdu materials found in the mosque collection. Although in vernacular language, these writings represent a global History of Ahmadiyya Islam between South Asia, Africa and Europe. A study of these pamphlet titles and contents reveals the archives of Annual reports published by Ahmadiyya Anjuman-e-Isha’at-e-Islam, Lahore documenting the association's activities. There is also an Urdu translation of the landmark Ahmadiyya Are Muslims. The Verdict of the Supreme Court of South Africa, 9.8.1986.

  • “Sacrifice” Among Ahmadi Women1
Abstract In the world of religion, sacrifice is believed as a form of devotion toward the deities. Some theories suggest that every religion has its own system as well as function of sacrifice. Therefore, sacrifice cannot be perceived to have a singular meaning. This research focuses on the sacrifice practiced by the Ahmadiyah community, which is a controversial sect within Islam. By looking at the Ahmadi women in Indonesia, this study attempts to find out how women use sacrifice as an expression of agency. Instead of being victims or objects of sacrifice, women can, in fact, play a significant role in resisting discrimination against them by their male-dominated organization through sacrifice. Keywords: Ahmadi women, sacrifice, agency, Ahmadiyah 1This paper was presented at the Singapore Graduate Forum of Southeast Asian Students at National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, held on July 28-29, 2007, as the Asian Graduate Student Fellowships National University of Singapore (NUS).
