The Porsche Type List
The Porsche Type List When Professor Ferdinand Porsche started his business, the company established a numeric record of projects known as the Type List. As has been reported many times in the past, the list began with Type 7 so that Wanderer-Werke AG did not realize they were the company’s first customer. Of course, as a result, Porsche’s famous car, the 356 as defined on the Type List, was actually Porsche’s 350th design project. In reviewing the Porsche Type List enclosed on this website, you might notice several interesting aspects. First, although there is a strong chronological alignment of Type numbers, it is certainly not perfect. No official explanation exists as to why this occurs. It is possible that Type numbers were originally treated only as an informal configuration and data management tool and today’s rigorous examination of Porsche history is but an aberration of 20/20 hindsight. Secondly, you might also notice that there were variations on Type List numbers that were probably made rather spontaneously. For example, consider the Type 60 with its many “K” variations to designate different body styles. Also consider how the Type 356 was initially a tube frame chassis then changed to a sheet metal chassis with the annotation 356/2 but the /2 later reused to describe different body/engine offerings. Then there were the variants on the 356 annotated as 356 SL, 356A, 356B, and 356C designations and in parallel there were the 356 T1 through 356 T7 designations. Not to mention, of course, the trademark infringement threat that caused the Type 901 to be externally re-designated as the 911. -

Historia De SEAT
HISTORIA DE LOS AÑOS 50 La "Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo" (SEAT) apareció el 9 de mayo de 1950 en el despacho de un notario. Firmaron la escritura pública el INI (Instituto Nacional de Industria), cinco bancos españoles y la empresa automovilística Fiat, que aportaba su tecnología y experiencia en el sector. Además, Fiat, dada su posición de privilegio en el pacto, impuso los criterios económico-industriales por encima de los criterios políticos deseados por los miembros del estado totalitario. Gracias a este hecho, la fábrica se construyó finalmente en unos terrenos de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, muy cerca del puerto y, por lo tanto, con muy buenas comunicaciones, descartando la ubicación de las instalaciones en una zona "más española" como hubiera sido Merimé, que era la preferida por las autoridades. En los primeros tiempos de funcionamiento de la sociedad, los principales lugares de responsabilidad fueron ocupados por ingenieros militares como José Ortiz Echagüe, primer presidente de la empresa, o Luís Villar Molina, que inspeccionaba periódicamente a través de las 22 hectáreas de las instalaciones los avances en las obras de construcción de las naves montado en su caballo. Las primeras naves empezaron a levantarse poco después de que el congreso norteamericano aprobase un crédito de 62 millones de dólares fruto del final del aislamiento internacional al cual se había sometido el estado español desde la II guerra Mundial debido al triunfo, aquí, del fascismo. De todas maneras, esta apertura de fronteras fue más debido al hecho de haberse demostrado la ineficacia del embargo y a los intereses comerciales que no a la concesión de libertades. -

European Research Studies Journal Volume XXIV, Issue 2B, 2021 pp. 276-289 Road Transport in Poland - Status and Development Prospects Submitted 18/03/21, 1st revision 10/04/21, 2nd revision 28/04/21, accepted 10/06/21 Bartosz Zakrzewski1, Katarzyna Szopik-Depczyńska2 Abstract: Purpose: The purpose of this article is to present the arguments that motor vehicle transport in Poland has a significant impact on the economic development of the country, not only creating prospects for the development of the Polish army (modern equipment and armaments) but providing citizens of the Republic of Poland with the opportunity to move safely from place to place with modern car fleet on newly built roads. Methodology: Statistical information collected from available sources and reports is the basis for the analyses presented in the article. The primary research method is observation, analysis, and inference. Available source materials from Polish statistical institutions and ministerial ones have been analyzed, and the industry transport journals. Findings: Motor vehicle transport has a significant share in generating GDP. Since 1990, motor vehicle transport in Poland has been developing rapidly and over the last 30 years has been significantly stimulating the economy, created jobs, was the leaven of the scientific and technical progress, made a significant contribution to exports, promoted local investments, and created conditions for cooperation with other industries and science. Practical Implications: Many detailed threads have only been mentioned and are waiting for further development. However, the most important is the decision on the Polish state's support for the further development of the Polish automotive industry, which in the long term will contribute to the security of the Polish state and its inhabitants. -

PRESENTAZIONE volontari del progetto STAF (Storia della Tecnologia delle Automobili FIAT), istituito nel 2009 al fine di selezionare i disegni tecnici più rilevanti per documentare l’e- I voluzione tecnica delle automobili FIAT, sono venuti a contatto anche con i disegni Lancia, contenuti in una sezione dedicata dell’Archivio Storico FIAT: il materiale vi era stato trasferito quando, nel 1984, la Direzione tecnica di FIAT Auto, il settore aziendale incaricato di progettare le automobili dei marchi FIAT, Lancia e Autobianchi, era stata riunita in un unico fabbricato, all’interno del comprensorio di Mirafiori. Fu nell’oc- casione del ritrovamento di questo nucleo di disegni che i partecipanti al progetto si proposero di applicare il metodo impiegato nel predisporre il materiale raccolto nel libro FIAT, storie di innovazione tecnologica nelle automobili, anche per preparare un libro analogo dedicato alle automobili Lancia. Questo secondo libro, attraverso l’esame dei disegni tecnici, del materiale d’archivio e delle fotografie di automobili sopravvissute, illustra l’evoluzione delle vetture Lancia e i loro contenuti innovativi, spesso caratterizzati da elementi di assoluta originalità. Il reperimento del materiale si è mostrato, tuttavia, più arduo rispetto al lavoro sulle vetture FIAT, almeno per le automobili più anziane, poiché l’archivio dei disegni Lancia era organizzato senza impiegare una struttura logica di supporto, per distinguere agevolmente i diversi gruppi funzionali dai particolari di puro dettaglio.
