Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro, after completing airport formalities, you will collect your luggage and make your way to the arrivals hall, where you will be met by a Legendary Lodge representative (holding a "Travel Beyond" name sign) for your private road transfer to Legendary Lodge (approx. transfer time: 90 mins).

VISAS: A valid passport and visa are required for entry into Tanzania. US passport holders must purchase a tourist visa prior to travel for US$100 per person multiple- entry (single-entry visas are not currently issued to US passport holders) from the Tanzania Immigration website at https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/. This visa is valid for a maximum 90-day duration of stay. Visa approval will be granted within 10 days and you must print your Visa Grant Notice and bring with you on arrival into Tanzania. All prices are subject to change without notice.
PLASTIC BAG BAN: Tanzania has recently implemented bans on the manufacture and use of plastic bags. We recommend that you do not bring any carrier (grocery/retail) or flat (garbage) bags in your luggage, or they may be confiscated at the airport.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will check in to your shared Auric Air light aircraft flight to the Tarangire National Park, scheduled to depart at 9:35am.

LUGGAGE RESTRICTIONS: Luggage should be packed in soft-sided bags. The luggage allowance is one (1) checked bag and one (1) carry-on bag totaling 33lbs/15kg per person. Overweight or excess luggage will be allowed only if space permits and at additional cost to the traveler.

LAMAI SERENGETI - NORTHERN SERENGETI, TANZANIA
This morning after a very early wake-up call (before dawn), transfer to the launch site and embark on an exhilarating balloon safari over the world-famed Northern Serengeti for a bird’s eye view of this African Eden.
BALLOONING DESCRIPTION: Suspended in a basket beneath the rainbow-colored canopy, you’re o for an animal-viewing adventure with an entirely di erent perspective. The sounds below drift clearly upwards: a lion’s roar, elephants crashing through the bush, baboons perched in the tips of the trees startled and screeching to see something above them. For an hour or so you drift wherever the air currents take you. In the time-honored tradition of balloon flights the world over, you toast your return to earth with a champagne breakfast. The di erence is that this breakfast happens in the bush, wherever you land. Please note: All hot air balloon excursions are weather dependent and shared with other travelers.
Following, enjoy lunch and a site inspection of Lemala Kuria Hills. This afternoon, enjoy a safari activity. Breakfast and dinner will be served at camp.
