SATTEB L ERG TOUR “ADVENTURE MOUNTAIN FOR KIDS” The beautiful, family-friendly hike around the Sattelberg offers interesting experiences and glorious views to the south. Gumpental as a base for hikes: At the Bottinghaus, a beautiful hike begins taking – Gumpental - Moaralmsee (ca. 2 hrs. out and back) you up to the Pleschnitzzinken (2,112m).From there – Gumpental - Moaralmsee - Höchstein - Moaralmscharte - Gumpental you have glorious views of the Dachstein in the (ca. 5 to 6 hrs. out and back) west and Gesäuse to the east. This peak is like a – Gumpental - Moaralmsee - Moaralmscharte - Kaiblingalm (ca. 3.5 to 4 hrs.) balcony overlooking Ennstal valley, and you will be – Gumpental - Moaralmsee - Filzscharte - Hans-Wödl-Hütte - quite surprised by just how close the highest Steirischer Bodensee (ca. 5 hrs.) Tauern peaks appear, especially the Hochwildstelle – Gumpental - Petersberg - Steirischer Bodensee (ca. 3 hrs.) (time: 1.5 hours).
