Mounting Workshop Fun Dan Warren (left) demonstrated his favorite mounting technique that uses thin wire and screws. Jan Hennessey described another method, which relies on fishing line. Others have used zip ties. The idea is to attach the roots as firmly as possible without crushing them.

Guests and members alike enjoyed exercising their artistic sides in mounting small orchids to wood. May 2019 Orange County Orchid Society Page 5

Mounting Workshop Fun The workshop offered fun for our many visitors as well as members like Jan Hennessey (lower left). Many volunteers helped ready the room; Sharon Tanner (below) surveys the setup before guests arrive.
