Telling Our Stories STONEY NAKODA FIRST NATION HISTORIC STORIES ABOUT LOCAL PLACES These are stories from the Îyârhe [ee-YAH-hhay]. Îyârhe means “mountain people.” We are a branch of the Sioux/Dakota/Lakota/ Nakoda people, who are now called the Stoney Nakoda Nation. STORY SIGN LOCATIONS 4. Îyâ Mnathka — E-Yamnuska 7.
