Have you ever wondered how we ended up with this great country? Well it. All came about about because of the American revolution. There were several causes to the American

Revolution including the French and Indian war,(aka the seven years of war) acts and taxes, the colonists rebelling more acts, more acts from king George , and the British military being activated please keep reading to find out why we entered this important war. The first thing that started the chain of events that lead to the American revolution was the French and Indian war the French and Indian war lasted from 1756-1763 and started because of a territorial dispute over the Ohio River valley. The British ended up winning (which gave them all the land to the Mississippi River), but was deeply in debt.

After the French and Indian war, the king raised taxes and passed several acts that made the colonists angry there were several act including the stamp act,quartering act,Townshend act,navigation act, and sugar act the stamp act made colonists pay extra taxes fall all paper products with stamps! In 1767 raised taxes on lead, paint, paper, glass, and tea. The Navigation act said that colonists could only buy goods from Britain. Finally the sugar act put taxes on sugar. All of the taxes and acts made the colonists angry.they were very angry because they had no choice. A group of people became very important during this time called the sons of

Liberty. This group of influential people lead the patriots, the colonists against King George III.

This led to the Boston Massacre. It all started as a protest by the colonists. They started making fun of the soldiers and threw things at them. Unfortunately, the soldiers

fired Back and killed 3 colonists that day 2 more people died later from the incident the biggest rebellion was the Boston Tea Party. It all happened on December 16 1773. The colonists,

Disguised as native Americans, got into. A merchant ship brought the tea up, tore up all of the boxes, and threw it overboard. There were about 1,000 people to cheer the patriots on! After the colonists threw away the tea, King George had had enough. He passed the

Quartering act. So he could have his army ready to fight. Colonists had to pay for housing, clothing, and food through the Quartering. This led to the first battle of revolution the battle of

Lexington and concord. It started with “the shot heard round the world”.

Chapter 2 the intolerable acts

Do you wonder what the 5 act are well. In 1774 King George made 5 acts called intolerable act. There are Boston port act, Massachusetts government act, Administration of justice act,

Quartering act, Quebec act.

The Boston port act was the first act that past. For example The Boston Britain was mad at some citizens because they dumped the into the harbor. Britain said “you can not sail entail you pay for the tea.

The Massachusetts government act was the first act that passed. For example

The Massachusetts government act King George made it where nobody can vote anymore but

King George and who ever King George votes for someone else.

The Administration of justice act act is the third act. For example “the murder act” if a official does something bad then they would get away with it if they were in they Britain.

The Quartering act was the 4th act that passed. For example the Quartering act. The soldiers were treated well liked, blankets, food drinks, fire wood, and even candles.

The Quebec act is the 5th act that passed. For example King George said “the Ohio river valley was theirs. King George said “you have to go to this church.

The colonists got mad because they kept passing laws. So the colonists started fighting and lead to the American revolution. Chapter 3

After the French and Indian war, I sat with My wife, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, to think how to pay for all the money the I thought to myself ,“how can I pay all of this money”.

Then My wife said, “you can make the colonists pay extra money. “But what can we name it”.

She thought, how about taxes”? Yes. “How many taxes? “Let start With 5 and they can be called the intolerable” acts my wife said. What can there name be I said.

The 1 act could be the Boston port act, the 2 act could be the the Massachusetts act government act, the 3 act an be the administration of justice act, the 4 act can be the Quartering act, and the 5 act can be the Quebec act”.Then the next day colonists said to the colonists you have to pay start paying taxes. That means you have to pay more money.

There are five laws the 1st a ct is the Boston port act. I made the colonists got so mad that

I made a new law that they dumped the tea into the Boston Harbor. Then when I found out I got so mad that then the next day I said .that you conlinst shall be punished for dumping my tea out.

“You cannot sail entail tea pay for my tea out”.

Then the next day I thought it was to make the make the Massachusetts government act

“sense you people poured out my tea, I’m making a new law”. “It is called the Massachusetts government act”. “That means that a governor is going to help me out”. That also mean that this act is going to change the government of the colony of Massachusetts. This also means a every meeting would be held a year.

Then the next day I said to those people here’s is the new governor that is going to help me. “King George is bad, King George is bad, King George is bad”. “Don’t listen to them” I said to him. Then I had heard that the colonists got mad that I made this act, so the next day I made a new law. I said “the next act is the administration of justice act”. “That means that the governor is going to move capital trials against government officials to Great Britain. “What are they doing now” I said. “Why are they putting fear into the Americans colonies. That lead up to the

American revolution the end.

Chapter 4 the intolerable act

Introduction

What people need to know is that the intolerable are very important. Many people don’t know, don’t think, or don’t realize but I’ve come to know it’s important. Sometimes in life things are hard. I have found that just work, and never give up on yourself. Sometimes people ask , why did what king George made these 5 laws. Well I’ve have found that have money for the

French and Indian war.

One reason that the intolerable is important is that King George made the intolerable to pay the colonists to pay more money and more taxes. A list of the intolerable acts are 1 the

Quartering act, and 5 the Quebec act.
