OUR VALUES We depend on God / We pursue impact / We execute with excellence / We care for each other / We can’t do it alone / The survivor drives our approach ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Human Resources Manager will work collaboratively across the organization to ensure Restore attracts, develops, and retains the world-class talent needed to achieve its mission and uphold the team’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Since serving its first client in 2009, Restore has grown from 4 people to a team of 35 employees plus contractors, interns, and volunteers. During that time, Restore has built out HR policies and systems in significant ways and has now reached the point where a full-time headcount devoted to the HR function is necessary. The Human Resources Manager will serve as a key partner to the Management Team (Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Finance & Administrative Officer) in ensuring Restore has the HR systems, talent practices, and procedures to support high- performing staff across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Talent Recruiting, Onboarding, and Retention ● Design, implement, and fully integrate all aspects of Restore’s people functions, ensuring the organization has the human capital needed to meet its mission ● Manage employee recruitment and retention activities and processes, including creating and maintaining current job descriptions and roles and responsibilities descriptions and all aspects of the recruitment of a diverse workforce to support Restore’s growth ● Leverage external compensation benchmarking to ensure pay equity and equitable compensation across the organization ● Support the ongoing refinement of fair and consistent performance management structures and processes Culture and DEI ● Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture that positions Restore to increase its reach and impact by harnessing the collective power of diversity, talent, and expertise across the organization ● Cultivate and maintain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment by identifying appropriate training and professional development opportunities for staff restorenyc.org • [email protected] • P.O. Restore provides a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, HSA/FSA, 18 vacation days, 4 spiritual retreat days, unlimited sick days, flex-time policy, and major medical, vision, dental insurance, and life and disability insurance, as well as commuter benefits. In operation for over 100 years, this engineering marvel dictated development patterns in upper Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. The interior station designs of the different lines chronicle the changing architectural fashion of the aboveground world from the turn of the century through the 1940s. Many prominent architects have designed the stations over the years, including the earliest stations by Heins and LaFarge. However, the conversation about preservation surrounding the historic resource has only begun in earnest in the past twenty years. It is the system’s very heritage that creates its preservation controversies. After World War II, the rapid transit system suffered from several decades of neglect and deferred maintenance as ridership fell and violent crime rose. At the height of the subway’s degradation in 1979, the decision to celebrate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the opening of the subway with a local landmark designation was unusual.

    Chapter 9: Transportation (Rail Transit) D. RAIL TRANSIT EXISTING CONDITIONS The subway lines in the study area are shown in Figures 9D-1 through 9D-5. As shown, most of the lines either serve only portions of the study area in the north-south direction or serve the study area in an east-west direction. Only one line, the Lexington Avenue line, serves the entire study area in the north-south direction. More importantly, subway service on the East Side of Manhattan is concentrated on Lexington Avenue and west of Allen Street, while most of the population on the East Side is concentrated east of Third Avenue. As a result, a large portion of the study area population is underserved by the current subway service. The following sections describe the study area's primary, secondary, and other subway service. SERVICE PROVIDED Primary Subway Service The Lexington Avenue line (Nos. 4, 5, and 6 routes) is the only rapid transit service that traverses the entire length of the East Side of Manhattan in the north-south direction. Within Manhattan, southbound service on the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 routes begins at 125th Street (fed from points in the Bronx). Local service on the southbound No. 6 route ends at the Brooklyn Bridge station and the last express stop within Manhattan on the Nos. 4 and 5 routes is at the Bowling Green station (service continues into Brooklyn). Nine of the 23 stations on the Lexington Avenue line within Manhattan are express stops. Five of these express stations also provide transfer opportunities to the other subway lines within the study area.

    New York City Deferred Compensation Plan Welcome to the New York City Deferred Compensation Plan! This booklet briefly describes the New York City Deferred Compensation Plan (NYCDCP), an umbrella program consisting of the 457 Plan and the 401(k) Plan. NYCDCP is a retirement savings plan which lets you save for the future through easy payroll deductions. Contributions made on a pre-tax basis into the 457 and the 401(k) allow you to put aside a portion of your pay before federal, state, and local income taxes are taken out.
