OUR VALUES We depend on God / We pursue impact / We execute with excellence / We care for each other / We can’t do it alone / The survivor drives our approach ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Human Resources Manager will work collaboratively across the organization to ensure Restore attracts, develops, and retains the world-class talent needed to achieve its mission and uphold the team’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Since serving its first client in 2009, Restore has grown from 4 people to a team of 35 employees plus contractors, interns, and volunteers. During that time, Restore has built out HR policies and systems in significant ways and has now reached the point where a full-time headcount devoted to the HR function is necessary. The Human Resources Manager will serve as a key partner to the Management Team (Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Finance & Administrative Officer) in ensuring Restore has the HR systems, talent practices, and procedures to support high- performing staff across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Talent Recruiting, Onboarding, and Retention ● Design, implement, and fully integrate all aspects of Restore’s people functions, ensuring the organization has the human capital needed to meet its mission ● Manage employee recruitment and retention activities and processes, including creating and maintaining current job descriptions and roles and responsibilities descriptions and all aspects of the recruitment of a diverse workforce to support Restore’s growth ● Leverage external compensation benchmarking to ensure pay equity and equitable compensation across the organization ● Support the ongoing refinement of fair and consistent performance management structures and processes Culture and DEI ● Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture that positions Restore to increase its reach and impact by harnessing the collective power of diversity, talent, and expertise across the organization ● Cultivate and maintain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment by identifying appropriate training and professional development opportunities for staff restorenyc.org • [email protected] • P.O. Box 1003 • Bowling Green Station • New York, NY 10274 • (212) 840-8484 ● Promote organization-wide culture that reflects Restore’s six values, including organizing team-development/building activities Administrative and Systems Management ● Process semi-monthly payroll and contractor payments through Restore’s professional employer organization (PEO) payroll system ● Partner with PEO to ensure timely and effective benefits administration ● Partner with PEO to manage and ensure proper and effective time keeping systems compatible with Restore’s institutional giving needs QUALIFICATIONS: Experience ● 5+ years of technical HR experience ● Broad knowledge of the HR function, ideally including deep expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and compliance ● Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a wide range of internal and external audiences ● High standards of confidentiality, sound judgment, discretion, and diplomacy, with a high degree of personal integrity, including the ability to manage sensitive or confidential information Requirements ● Identify with the Christian faith ● Passion for Restore’s mission, vision, and core values ● Strong commitment to equity and social justice including a focus on self-awareness and engagement of continuous learning around issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion COMPENSATION The salary range is $70,000-$75,000. Restore provides a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, HSA/FSA, 18 vacation days, 4 spiritual retreat days, unlimited sick days, flex-time policy, and major medical, vision, dental insurance, and life and disability insurance, as well as commuter benefits.
