Borecka Historical Note Główna Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu (Main Commission for the Investigation of Crimes against the Polish Nation), was established in 1945 and operated under the Polish Ministry of Justice. The purpose of the Main Commission for the Investigation of German Crimes in Poland was investigating the crimes committed by the Nazis on Polish soil and other occupied countries, and in Germany during the period 1939-1945. The Main Commission collected documentation, conducted investigations and prepared indictments, and publications. The Main Commission prepared investigations of all lawsuits against the Nazis, judged by the Supreme National Tribunal in Poland. Currently the Main Commission is a part of the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej–Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu (Institute of National Remembrance-Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation). 2 Scope and Content of Collection This collection contains investigation case files concerning labor camps for Jews, the murder of individual Jews, and the mass execution of Jews inside and outside the camps in various districts of the Poznań region. This documentation was collected by the Główna Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu (Main Commission for the Investigation of Crimes against the Polish Nation). System of Arrangement Records are arranged in the original order of their acquisition from the source archive. The museum has acquired only selected records from Institute of National Remembrance (Instytut Pamięci Narodowej- Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu, or IPN).
