Bighorn Sheep Limited Entry Hunt

The CTUIR Fish and Wildlife Commis- sion, in recognition of the Treaty-reserved right to harvest and of the sensitive nature of the harvest of these reintroduced and extremely limited bighorn sheep populations, will use a hunt-tag draw system for tribal harvest of bighorn sheep in Oregon. The draw system will be conducted to optimize hunt opportunities to benefit the greatest number of tribal hunters possible. Applicants must be at least 18 year of age to apply. Permit applications and complete application procedures will be available from Fish and Wildlife Program staff or Fish and Wildlife Commission or on the CTUIR Web site.

Hunt drawing will be conducted in public by the Commission at their regularly sched- uled Commission meeting on July 21, 2020. This method, and the public setting, will as- sure that no bias is introduced to the draw program and provide clear accountability to the Tribal public.
