# Agenda Discussions Action points 1 Welcome and introduction OCHA warmly welcomed the team and the team introduced themselves to each other. Update on natural disasters ANDMA: due to seasonal rainfalls flash floods occurred in different parts of Badakhshan assessment and responses and province, ANDMA thanked the INGOs and UN agencies for on time assessment and 2 . the humanitarian partners’ responses and added we have decided that INGOs working in the districts will help us in preparedness. initial reporting and assessing the natural disasters from their working areas. There was good coordination all earthquake and flash flood affected families have been

responded and continues rainfall caused flash flood in different parts of Badakhshan which are still under the assessment and based recent received report still we need to deploy the joint assessment teams to the areas where are affected by flash floods.

Its mentionable that ARCS actively participated in natural disaster affected families’ assessment and responses. The natural disaster left 14 killed in different parts of Badakhshan namely 3 people in

Kohistan, 6 people in Raghistan, 2 people in Faizabad and 3 people in Argo district, ANDMA distributes cash for the killed peoples’ families however there was not access but we could transfer the cash for those families through money exchangers under the

management of a committee which established in Faizabad.

Due to recent continues rainfall flash flood happened in Shakaran village of Yaftal, Dara

Jouzon areas of Faizabad city, Spengul areas of Argo district, Eshkashan village and Baharak district. Team Yaftal Bala: The OCT members established two joint assessment teams which will assess the ANDMA, WFP/IDS, IOM mentioned areas, Team 2: Shahri Buzurg and Bazar Itfaq areas were not access problem but the teams are ANDMA, WFP/IDS, IOM deployed and will assess the mentioned district, will be assessed.

Out of 104 families 84 of them are earthquake affected families (13 Arkhanjkhow 4 families Argo, 45 Yaftal Payan, 9 Baharak 13 Kishem) and the rest are flash flood affected families. 68 families found out of 200 families. A number of families have been affected by flash flood in Khumbuk areas of Tagab district which will be assessed by ARCS. ANDMA added that we have distributed strategic wheat to all district and concluded that the wheat will be distributed for the natural disasters affected families. Through food for work and for the people who are in real need.

68 families have been verified by the joint assessment teams in Faizabad city region, IOM has committed to distribute NFI while WFP will distribute food and DACAAR will distribute hygiene kits.

IOM told totally there are affected 284 families in different parts of IOM has shared the list of natural disaster affected families in May 2018: Faizabad city Khairabad village 5 families, in Surung and Wring areas of Yaftal 44 families, in Qushkham and Ghazmardan areas of Argo district, 65 families in Teshkan district, 9 families in Baharak district, 24 families in Arkhanjkhow district, 19 families in Shuhada district, 25 families in , 18 families in Argo/Faizabad areas. 3 Update on conflict IDPs DoRR: due to military operation and recent conflict in Teshkan a number of families have assessment and responses. been displaced to center of Teshkan, Faizabad city, , and Keshem districts, the

joint assessment teams deployed and assessed 949 families out of that the joint

assessment teams which were led by ACTED and out of that the team verified 824

families as real IDPs:

467 families in center of Teshkan, 176 families in Darayem, 177 families in Keshem

district and 4 families in Faizabad city.

Out of 824 verified families 643 of them responded and the assessment report of 177

families in Keshem and 4 families in Faizabad will be shared by ACTED to OCHA for

further respond coordination process.

Eshkashiem; 120 families visited WFP/IDS while 30 families verified as real IDPs, IDS will

share the report and OCHA will coordinate the responding process within agencies.

DoRR has found that one IDP who is in real need live in Dashti Quruq areas of Faizabad . and he is a real IPD and need for the humanitarian aid, he is Abdul Rahim from Kohistan

displaced. The team agreed that ACTED and DoRR will assess the mentioned family and

will share the report to OCHA.

DoRR: respected agencies must respond based on their commitment as on time and all

must be available for joint district.

ACTED:

The Teshkan district IDPs have been assessed and the reports already shared, totally

there are visited 949 families out of that verified 824 families.

Details: in center of Teshkan district visited 500 families and verified 467 families, 257

families visited in Darayem district and verified 176 families, 177 families visited in

Keshem district and verified 177 families and15 families visited in Faizabad city while

selected 4 families. 32 families have been assessed by the joint assessment teams in Jurm district, the report will be shared by ACTED. Its mentionable that ACTED did not contributed in responding the above mentioned verified IDPs while other humanitarian partners have distributed food, NFI and Hygiene kits. ACTED is waiting for the ERM 8 which is started but still there is a process between ACTED and Donor which not concluded yet, thus ACTED for the moment can’t commit to respond or reject responding those families. DoRR: the respected agencies who commit to respond must be ready for on time joint distribution, because sometimes out joint distribution delays. 4 Screening the conflict IDPs DoRR did not complied and collected the petitions therefore the screening committee petitions which are collected by meeting postponed for the next day.
