The state of Mimoir appeared in August 1947, when Maharaja Jayachamarajendra Vodeyar signed a document to join the unification of the Prince's State of Mimore with the Dominion of India. On 1 November 1956, under the State Reorganization Act, the State of Misor was significantly expanded by language. It was added to the cannada-speaking areas in the states of Bombay, Hyderabad and Madras, as well as the entire Koorg. President b c d e f's rule can be imposed when a government in a state is unable to function in accordance with the Constitution, which is often because no party or coalition has a majority in the assembly. When the president's rule operates in the state, his council of ministers is dissolved. Thus, the post of Chief Minister remains vacant and the administration is reassigned by the Governor, who functions on behalf of the central Government. At times, the Legislature is also in dissolution. On November 1, 1973, in accordance with the Mimoir (Name Change) Act, Mimore was renamed Karnataka. Thus, Dewarai Urs was Chief Minister of Miora from 20 March 1972 to 31 October 1973 and Chief Minister of Karnataka after that. In mid-1979, Urs separated from the Congress led by (I) and served the remainder of his term as a member of the Indian National Congress (Urs). According to Frontline magazine, after the poor performance of janata party in the 1984 elections (it won only four of the 28 seats), Hegde resigned on the grounds that his party had lost its popular mandate. Prime Minister allowed him to lead the interim government. In the 1985 elections, the Janata Party came to power with a comfortable majority. According to Frontline, Hegde resigned in February 1986, when the Karnataka High Court condemned his government for the way contracts for arrak bottling were processed. He took off his a couple of days later, after pressure from his party lawmakers. References - Durga Das Basu.
