Museum for visuell kunst skil seg frå andre museum ved at dei samlar på kunst frå vår Jorunn Veiteberg eiga tid. Dei er såleis viktige medspelarar i dagens kunstliv, og interessa for korleis dei utøver denne rolla, er stor og til tider støyande. Ikkje minst gjeld det spørsmål rundt kva Å samla kunst dei ervervar og ikkje ervervar til samlingane, og måten det blir gjort på. Samlingsutvikling ved norske kunstmuseum på 2000-talet I denne rapporten blir inntakspraksisen mellom år 2000 og 2016 i 14 kunstmuseum KUNST SAMLA Å i Noreg kartlagt. I tillegg til musea sine eigne prioriteringar tar rapporten opp kva slags kunst musea har fått overført frå Innkjøpsfondet for norsk kunsthåndverk, Sparebankstiftelsen og Kulturrådet si nedlagde innkjøpsordning. Korleis unge Jorunn Veiteberg kunstnarar er representerte, samtidskunsten sin plass og kjønnsfordelinga i samlingane er spørsmål som står sentralt. Rapporten viser også kor lite synleg samlingspraksisen til musea har vore hittil. Museumssamlingane tener som vår felles minnebank. Difor bør det stadig reisast spørsmål ved korleis musea utøver makta dei har som historieskrivarar og minneforvaltarar. I seinare år har private samlarar sett stadig sterkare avtrykk i dei offentlege musea gjennom donasjonar og langtidslån. Intensive Level Survey Historic Resources – Downtown Neighborhood City of Niagara Falls: Phase I 3.0 Historical Overview This section provides a narrative history of the City of Niagara Falls with specific emphasis on the Downtown neighborhood. The overview addresses significant trends and themes associated with the city’s historic context. The Downtown neighborhood’s period of significance is identified and examined in this chapter. Martin Wachadlo, architectural historian, conducted the background historic research. 3.1 Niagara County: Physiology and Geology Figure 3-1. Niagara Falls, Niagara Falls, New York Niagara County borders the southern shore of Lake Ontario in the extreme northwestern corner of New York State, and occupies part of the Huron and Ontario Plains. The Ontario Plain comprises part of Lake Ontario to the foot of the Niagara Escarpment1, and the Huron plain extends from the crest of the escarpment southward beyond the county line. The Niagara Escarpment begins in Watertown, New York, USA and extends westerly along the Manitoulin Island in the Province of Ontario, Canada. The escarpment continues through Wisconsin and Illinois. With geological material measuring 64-ft thick, the stratigraphy at Niagara Falls provides a glimpse into the overall rock types comprising the Niagara Escarpment (Figure 3-1). The top layer is Lockport Dolomite, a hard rock referred to as the "Lower Silurian Group." Below the top layer is Rochester Shale, which is much softer and wears away easily with the effects of erosion. Under the shale are harder strata of limestone and dolostone known as the "Clinton Group." Below the harder strata is Grimsby sandstone. -

Sammendrag Denne studien undersøker hva som motiverer servicemedarbeidere og bidrar til at de trives i organisasjonen. For å undersøke hvilke faktorer som påvirker jobbopplevelsen positivt og negativt, tar vi i utgangspunkt i Herzbergs to-faktor-teori. Som forbrukere er vi i kontakt med servicemedarbeidere så å si hver dag. Vi møter dem i kiosken når vi kjøper morgenkaffen, senere på dagen selger de oss lunsj, og ikke overaskende sitter de i kassen når vi handler middag på vei hjem. Vi har ikke lykkes å finne mange relevante forsknings publikasjoner vedrørende servicemedarbeiderens trivsel og motivasjon. Dette gjør det ekstra spennende for oss å gjør en undersøkelse av denne yrkesgruppen. For å komme nært innpå servicemedarbeideren, valgte vi en kvalitativ tilnærming, og foretok dybdeintervjuer av ansatte i Deli de Luca. To-faktor-teorien dannet grunnlaget for undersøkelsen. Spørsmålene hadde til hensikt å kartlegge hva som gjorde at respondentene trivdes og var motiverte, samt hva som eventuelt kunne skape mistrivsel. Vår studie viser at Herzbergs motivasjonsfaktorer i hovedsak kan relateres til servicemedarbeideren. Det som kanskje var det viktigste og mest overraskende funnet i studien, var at enkelte hygienefaktorer kan være en kilde til trivsel, noe som ikke er i tråd med Herzbergs teori. Det er for oss litt dristig å komme med en såpass sterk påstand i en bacheloravhandling. Derfor gjorde vi ytterligere litteratursøk og kom frem til at forskere før oss, har publisert undersøkelser som støtter våre funn.
