The team showed immense courage and fighting spirit not to concede any goals and this showed in other games. The lack of chances created in the match resulted in the team’s failure to score. The defense stood firm and thanks to 2 P Mwendamberi *(Zim) NTR J Makwabarara NTR great saves from keeper M Mapondera the team was able to remain undefeated and keep their hopes of progressing to the quarter finals alive. R Munyeza *(Zim) V Gateway 1-0 T Mkaratigwa A much needed win for the team. K Mills gave St George’s the lead in the second half with a superb free kick that bamboozled the Gateway keeper. Now aided with some- thing to protect our lead the St George’s defense put on a show again led by D Gausi and Hockey kept the Gateway attack at bay.

Harare Province Squad Selection V Milestone College 3-0 The late kick off of the day. Signs of fatigue were expected to show but the boys were U18 L Chikukwa U16 R Norman as sharp as ever. St George’s first team golf team travelled to Marondera Golf Club to On the 11th May the second team travelled to Marondera for the first play Peterhouse boys.
