Oasis offers young people living in and around Titchfield a range of age- appropriate weekly informal educational activities including cookery, craft, team games and challenges. All of our youth club members were encouraged to participate in National Youth Work Week 2013 Survey, and we were delighted by the positive responses to the questionnaire enquiring about young people’s views about youth clubs and youth workers. It was particularly encouraging that young people felt that attending a youth club helped them at school. One of our younger members who struggles at school and with anger issues told us “It calms me down and helps me cope”. In spring 2013 we ran a successful 12 week project in partnership with the Police.
